Axxess Uncapped Subscribers Feedback

Can anyone report if ninjavideo.net works? All the videos load very slowely. Does this fall under the "shaped" data?
 
does not look good - if this is the way the month is gonna go I will also switch to MWEB - long live the uncapped pipe dream. Not long from now everybody will be OWNED by MWEB.

Can't even connect to axxess today.
 
Is anyone able to connect to Steam this morning? I am not even able to connect! Connection is timing out which is rather upsetting. What is the point of this account if I cannot even game???

[update] Seems it was a network problem and am now able to connect to Steam!

An absolutely terrible account. I switched over from the Axxess Express+ package thinking that it'd be even marginally as good (since they're both using IS), and boy was I wrong. Just remember that when they say that shaping will be applied, they apparently mean that they'll throttle any non-priority protocols to death (maybe 1kb/s per thread if you're lucky). Speeds don't even lift in the evening, so short of pulling some tunneling tricks you'll be out of luck.

If anyone remembers the UUNET uncapped debacle from 5 years ago, it feels a lot like that.
 
I know the feeling life│form..... bleh going with mweb, I don't mind shaping to give a 'good' overall service - at least MWEB's shaping don't seem to be so severe.
 
+1, worst account. On the phone with them now trying to get them to upgrade to the old uncapped version. Even during 192k throttling it was better than this garbage. Next month Mweb, im all yours
 
its weird that while all of this is going on, there has been no news report on MyBB concerning Axxess's dreadful performance. Normally this would be front page stuff, or am I just imagining things?
 
I'm on 384 uncapped, yesterday was a bit a dodgy but today it's fine. Currently downloading a iso from a UK server at normal Telkom speeds.

Mustn't forget that it's a public holiday though.

Please let us know if you manage this. I want to switch over as well, I won't survive a whole month with this rubbish account.

EDIT: Seems slightly better after lunch, now getting 160kB/s from quickshare.co.za

you cant they dont do refunds esp when yr not happy about the service, if u took the shaped account then u stuck with it.

i learnt my lesson next month i'm back on the express+, dont have daytime donwload acess but after hours and weekends i get full speed no matter what i donwload from where ever
 
The taps really opened for me now!
For the last 30mins or so my torrents have been hitting between 200kb/s and 415kb/s ! (Axxess 4096 uncapped)
It might have something to do with the public holiday and/or the weekend :confused:

I wish it could always be like this...
 
yep also getting around 120-140kB/s on Torrents. HTTP seems to be stable now. Lets hope the speed increases a bit more

*EDIT* Getting around 200-220kB/s now!

Switched to new uncapped on the 1st. Currently getting approx 100kB/s - on Axxess Express I would be flying at full speed now. :(

Ah well, will test for the month, if it doesn't get better I'll probably go back to an Express account.
 
Pulling some NZBs down at the moment at 40KB/s (on a 384k line). Speeds are definitely better, but like the rest of you I am wondering if this is just temporary. Hope not.
 
I have no connection for the last few minutes. Switched to WA and running full speed, approx 400kB.
 
I just signed an uncapped account( last day of march) and the speeds where bad, pages dont load. I phoned and asked for them to give me a refund, they are supposed to phone me bad. They havent. I am cross. I also sent an email with my concerns and still no response.
