Bad Parking Pictures

Sandton City's parking bays are VERY small, the original undercover bays.
I hadn't been there for ages but when I eventually found an undercover bay I parked neatly between the lines, folded the mirrors, jumped out and QC'd my parking, I was amazed to see how little space the car on my left had.(Toyota 86-wide opening doors) We both were perfectly in the bays but he was bound to ding my car with the driver's door. So I jumped back in and parked in the blazing sun in a nice big parking.

Good idea on the one hand but here in SA most of the Douche's don't read and if they do it is the news paper. If they had pop ups whilst playing Solitaire them that would help.

Also it will probably become "cool" to have your car taken/shown so the competition will be on.

Interesting though.

One of my favorite things about driving a tiny car.

When people double park I can sometimes still fit in a bay and be in the lines, so I do my best to do so on the other car's drivers side.

Gotten plenty dirty looks and mumbles but as yet not a single person has confronted me.

For me the problem is the idiot on the left with his right wheel in the bmw's bay. U the bmw is accommodating that tool. Should have taken a pic of the tool on the left!

While I agree that this is bad parking, there is sometimes a reason for it. I park like this when the disabled parking bays are taken (normally by people without a disc) to make it easier for my wife to get into her wheelchair and to prevent damage to close standing cars.

Mmmm - you are so right. Perhaps people should be wary of saying parking is bad unless they saw the actual driver park the car - that way they would know the full circumstances (wheelchair, twins, person adjacent parked badly etc)
