Hi all,

I am having the same issue and have been since I got this Telkom Mobile package (10GB + 10GB with Huaweii B593 LTE Router/Modem)

I have tried all port forwarding tricks, customizing settings in Origin and BF4, customizing my router settings and every other possible avenue. I even went to the Telkom Direct store to see if I needed an Unrestricted APN which worked on my Vodacom SIM but Telkom Mobile/8ta doesn't have any APN restrictions to start with.

This is the most frustrating issue I have, since it is only for BF4 and no other games. I can't connect to any servers that don't display a ping in Server Browser, and there are only a few servers displaying pings. Every time I reset my router, I can see about 12 servers' pings, but within 5 minutes I can only see 3 or less (and they're usually empty). Also, if I do manage to get into a game, every time a round ends, I get disconnected at the start of the next map and am unable to join again.

Telkom Rep, please assist as I see you have finally PM'd some users.

PS To all the people trolling about ADSL, this line has outperformed every ADSL line I've ever had before:

43mbps download / 8mbps upload on speedtest.net

30ms ping / 2ms Jitter / NO PACKET LOSS on pingtest.net

Exact same issue as what I am experiencing,, So it is definitively on 8ta's side , prob routing or ports that needs to be opened.

Bump. Still having issues.

Same here.

I responded to the PM from the Telkom Rep on Wednesday.
I made my initial query on the 8th of December, on the 9th I received a mail saying my query was being attended to.

This morning I received a call saying that I would receive another call, that I have not yet received and it appears that nothing has been done yet.

Afrihost here I come!

Im experiencing same thing.

Just to point out. Once playing on a server, it will for definite kick you from that server at the end of the round, guaranteed. The weird thing is, that server then "Disappears" and can for the love of telkom not be joined again. Why would I be able to play on a server (After many frustrating retries) and then after the round being kicked of, not play on that server again? What the hell?

I do not think they only blocking port 30000? Unless EA changes ports continually after every round?

After 3 call logs I have confirmed that Telkom does not have a restricted APN. So my question remains, how come MTN, Cell-C and Vodacom has non of the issues above at all. Why do they pick up all Servers and not kick you of once. (Yes I have tested this, telkom mobile dont work, so have no choice)

WHY DOES A TELKOM REP NOT COME UP WITH AT LEAST AN ANSWER OF WHAT THIS IS? WHATS WITH THE PM'S? TELL US WHY AND WHAT THIS IS PLEASE!?

PS: When i played in Strubensvalley it was fine yesterday, today im playing form Noordheuwel (Signal strength here is twice as good) it does not pick up one BF4 server. Is this an Area thing?

I am going to post some screen prints of servers I can't join, maybe it will get someone's attention:

22-12-2013 - 1.jpg

22-12-2013 - 2.jpg

22-12-2013 - 3.jpg

IP address and port for each server on the bottom right.

A minute after my post above the MWEB Olifant room becomes available:

22-12-2013 - 4.jpg

Nothing changed....:wtf:

Also note screen print 2 & 3 the servers have the same IPs but different ports.

Exactly the same issue my side , won't get fixed guys.

I've been speaking with Telkom since the 8th of Dec, to try and get this fixed. I've sent through screenshots, detailed trace routes, etc. and all I've gotten so far is a bunch of bureaucratic BS. Each department saying they have to escalate it to another department and such. Nobody wants to take accountability for what I can only imagine is a relatively easy thing to fix.

Useless........ What are we even paying for?

Telkom PM'd me this morning for the IP addresses and port numbers.

Information that I've sent through a long time ago already and you guys have posted here.

Bloody stall tactics, I hope they don't think that counts as feedback

I suggest to submit requested data again. They could make changes in routers and want to progress. Old data would be useless.

I did resubmit the information.

They asked for my IP address knowing very well that's it's dynamically assigned and they asked for the battlefield server addresses, those haven't changed, are available online and 3 of them are their very own servers.

IP address is automatically assigned, but different IP ranges are being served by different routers. The best approach to achieve goals is to not argue. :)
