Dinner = Omelette with pork and cheese

Just for the record didn't mean to have so much egg today

Drink less/no milk. Add more leafy greens. Drink at least 3 litres of water a day.

You are eating too much red meat right there.

Should also consider that you need to consume 0.8g of protein per kg of body weight per a day.

then what do you suggest I eat?

I cannot stand the taste of fat
not even pork crackling or chicken skin.
I can cook it, but I don't touch it.

I cannot eat whole wheat, brown or white bread.
That would include not eating health breads as it contains gluten.

I have to stay away from junk food too.

that leaves meats, veg, and fruit.
starches are rice, and potatoes - in small quantities, and not daily.

Have the test result to prove it :-( I can still sort it out by losing a hell of a lot of weight!

I will be missing my carbs and meat. Actually I have suspected for a while I have some form of gluten/weight intolerance. As I often suffer from stomach cramps if consuming this stuff.

Thank you, support is always appreciated

PITBULL!!!! :D

Hope you are well buddy. I am doing it for myself as I want to look and feel good like I did once upon a time. Plus the health benefits are most important.

have you got any flavoured seasoning salts (like spur salt or aromat?
chuck it
stick to salt, pepper, and herbs - until you have leant to read packaging for gluten.

avoid packet soups
crisps
weetbix
puffed wheat
no beer as it contains gluten

try that for a week.
you are going to withdraw from it - really bad temper, worse than when you quit smoking

Sorry to hear that. What symptoms made you go for the test or was it just course of nature?

Mostly constant sweating and having dizzy spells.

Have started with baby steps. Walking the dogs 2 km every night.

Day 4 now, feel incredibly different, much less exhausted, strangely enough, I feel incredibly "happy" all the time. Most times I just break out into smiles for absolutely no idea.

Feel sleepier around 9pm, I used to go to bed around 11-12pm.

However, I am awake by 5am every morning and cannot wait to get out of bed.

Good for you man, I must also admit last night I was in bed at 9PM and passed out. I think it is the shock of the changes to ones body that is doing this.

Drink less/no milk. Add more leafy greens. Drink at least 3 litres of water a day.

Thank you for this, however I am doing LCHF eating at the moment and the great thing is that I am allowed dairy. As long as it is full cream. Please note I am not going overboard with this and still watching my daily calorie intake.

I am avoiding all carbs at the moment. As in everything above I have cut out. Btw today I am starting to get quite irritable with everyone and everything around me.

the LCHF eating plan says full cream milk, butter, full cream youghurt etc...

Do you know how hard it is to find full cream yoghurt etc? As everything in the shops is conditioned for low fat

Full cream milk is fine, but not 2 glasses as there is sugar in milk.
As for the water, you drink until you are not thirsty (just like you eat until you are satisfied). Consuming 3L a day no matter what is not the right way to go. If I did that on a normal day I'd go to the bathroom 7 or 8 times probably - the water is not required so it goes straight through.

edit: Lino what region you in? We have a local supplier for some pretty darn good double thick yoghurt

Milk has a fairly high number of carbs in it, depending on what you're trying to stay under, I wouldn't advise it. I just checked now and one glass of Woolies Ayshire milk has 13g of carbs in it. Clover has 12g. If you're trying to stay under 20, I'd use those carbs elsewhere.

And I love milk.

Gluten and lactose intolerant.

Lotsa fun.

Eina :(

I'm also on LCHF and love milk... Can't drink it any more as I'm trying to stay under 20g.

People doing LCHF who don't consume a lot of water can develop kidney stones and other ailments. The water is essential.

Well, I've been on a bit of a LCHF fail-train recently.

Sugary alcohol, and I'm ashamed to admit this, but: Burger King, Debonairs and McDonalds.

Jesus.

So, back on the cart as of today, heh.

I fetched my laundry this morning, and either they have shrunk all my clothes or I've, erm, expanded.

Wait, is this a list of things you have had recently? BK, Debonairs, McDs and Jesus?

If your urine is colourless that is when you know you have drunk enough water.

so that leaves oil/avo on the list.

both of which I eat a fair bit of.

edit:
I use mostly avo oil or coldpressed olive oil.

Bacon is another option and if you tell me you can not stand the bacon fat, you have no reason to live.

Try PicknPay and Spar (own brand double thick yoghurt)

Thank you for this.

Durbanville and work in Cape Town

I am consuming quite a lot of water as well as Green Tea (no milk and no sugar). My goal is to be under 40gr of Carbs a day. So for now I can at least have 1 to 2 glasses a day. It must surely be better than all the alcohol I used to consume.

Tonight might possibly be Bacon and Eggs With Mushrooms In Butter :D

How do I feel today?

Starting to get a bit more energy but I am suffering terribly from confusion and disorientation. Not to mention my poor muscles are starting to hurt like hell. Still irritable but that seems to have improved.

It's definitely better, I just mentioned it because people don't realise the amount of carbs in a glass of milk. You're using 24-26g of your daily amount of 40g just on milk, which is perfect if you make sure you're monitoring any other carbs that may sneak in to your diet. For example (from your possible supper) bacon may contain some carbs, and mushrooms definitely do.

I just mention all of this because I didn't realise how many carbs were making it into my diet until I started monitoring properly.

:o

The knife cuts it O F F

:p

I only eat little bacon fat. If there is lots it goes....
And bacon gets done on the bacon tray in the microwave( can you say yummy crispy bacon in under 7min?). No oil added! :D

I don't use any oil when making steaks, hamburgers, fish etc.
or very little when needed.
I do add chilli olive oil to soup :D ( after soup is cooked, in my bowl)
