Was looking for a medium bed though as I am a side sleeper, but will go try it out in PMB.Yes not much more than what I paid for mine a few years ago.
Tafelberg also sells the Tudor https://www.tafelberg.co.za/bedding/bed-sets/cloud-nine/cloud-nine-tudor-queen-bed-set/ that model is not sold elsewhere. Was looking for a medium bed though as I am a side sleeper, but will go try it out in PMB.
Local stores dont have too many options. These seem to be medium and less firm but no way for me to test it in store:

This is what didn't make sense when I went to the bed stores. And those with a 100 day policy (only a handful) had a lot of terms and conditions, and you end up spending R1000+ for returning the bed for admin fees + delivery fees etc. etc. That 100 day test really is invaluable because you need minimum a few weeks to properly test a mattress
That they are, all that most of them care about is getting the sale and beds are so personal it’s very easy go horribly wrong with a rather pricey purchase. Sloom seems to be the only one in the market with a genuine no questions asked free return. This is what didn't make sense when I went to the bed stores. So if the Sloom does not work out will just take a chance ordering a medium cloud nine mattress online or need to consider a sealy or serta, but it is a big risk for such an expensive investment. The local stores also all try to push whatever brand they try to sell. Dial-a-bed tries to push the Forty Winks bed. Flip these bed salesmen are almost worse the property agents.
https://meelusleep.com/product/mattress/ has a 100 day trial as well AFAIK.Sloom arrived, first impression, please note I will review again:
Delivery:
Received within 3 days. Up to date email communication. Proper tracking system. Delivered by the courier guy. Considering where I live I think it is pretty good. Dial a Bed you wait 10 working days, and sometimes longer.
Product and Packaging:
Unboxing is easy.
It's not as heavy as spring mattress. Easy to move around.
At has a VERY strong chemical smell that burns your nasals. Have all the windows open and hope it goes away.
Foam is not cut completely straight when opened up and layers don't line up 100%, however closed up does not seem to be an issue yet. Inner layers is covered with a thin stockings material, handle with care.
Compared to cloud nine and similar, Outer cover material seems very soft and delicate, would probably recommend a mattress protector, not sure if I would want to put it in the wash. Handle carefully. It does not fit very tight over the inner foam. Overall presentable and nice design.
Mattress:
Medium is too soft, compared to hybrid / coil medium.
Firm (not extra firm), seems to be what I will try first. Wife has hers on Medium but might change to firm as well. Awesome that we can swap layers around!
Even on different firmness the seem between left and right is not an issue so far. I don't feel it.
Price:
I feel overall product is quite expensive for what it is compared to a Cloud Nine. However, it is the only company that offers a proper 100 day trial without extra costs.

I don't think it is adjustable though and shorter warranty. But yes, worth a try as well.https://meelusleep.com/product/mattress/ has a 100 day trial as well AFAIK.
We started with both sides on Firm. It slept great, but after about 5 weeks, we thought that we may be missing out, as one of the other settings may be better. Changed both sides to Medium. This also felt nice, but after 3 weeks we determined that Firm was better.Sloom arrived, first impression, please note I will review again:

If granite slab is not good enough they will send you another firmer firm diamond slab.We started with both sides on Firm. It slept great, but after about 5 weeks, we thought that we may be missing out, as one of the other settings may be better. Changed both sides to Medium. This also felt nice, but after 3 weeks we determined that Firm was better.
We then set both sides to "Granite Slab", just to make sure. 3 days later we went back to firm...
Cloud nine lodestarIs there anything decent for under R8k (ish) which is what the Sloom costs.
A family member who emigrated will be visiting and staying with me 3 or 4 times a year for 10 days at a time and although I don't want to spend that much I don't want him to be uncomfortable.
I'm going to do the unforgivable and store the mattress on it's side in between his visits.

Not great, apparently you can get multi-layer versions which are quite comfortable but very expensive and they require to be regularly aired out, which is quite a pita, not low maintenance.
Tried for a week on some folded blankets but nah - don't really see a whole lot of advantage to it. I've got a simple bed-base with a firmish mattress which is fine. I remember as a kid sometimes dragging the mattress into the lounge and there was always moisture underneath in the morning & regularly airing out a mattress is another mission I don't feel like.
