Buying a bed

So I contacted who I think is Sealy directly? Got a response from another company called Gallery Home.
I got a quote for a SEALY CROWNED JEWEL CONFORM FIRM QUEEN bed. But I can't find this bed anywhere else, or I'm looking like ass. I am finding it hard to compare prices because everyone sells different models of beds and mattreses.

We did a lot of research and ended up going with a Cloud 9 … one of their extra-firm orthopaedic mattresses, the Chiroflex. Got an extra-length mattress because I’m a big boy and it’s luxury to not have my feet hanging off the bottom of the bed. Super happy with it. It’s got the feeling of being around for longer than I will be.

They rebrand them for each company to make it difficult to compare between stores.

Yeah I found the Cloud 9 range was pretty good in that regard: naming matched across the suppliers, so I could find the cheapest one. Curiously it was from The Mattress Company at my local shopping centre, and the sales guy threw in a free mattress protector as well worth R1000. Getting one to fit my extra-length bed was a whole struggle but we finally got one and could close that chapter.

Interesting ... chatting with the AI bot brings up some interesting points about foam mattresses and their failure characteristics.
Pretty much confirms my suspicion.

Checked mine now and the sagging isn't visibly an issue really, I think it's just a sudden loss of support, the indentation is there when I wake up a goes away during the day, so little bounce back...
And when you consider this humidity and weather changes the past few weeks it's not hard to imagine why it feels "sudden"

I’ve never had a foam mattress fail.

I’ve had pocket coil fail upon delivery and felt it **** out plenty down the line when unfortunate enough to use them in hotels and such.

So I went to mattress warehouse and the CloudNine was pretty dang hard not gonna lie. Idk maybe its just me. I did lay on this bed that had Cheslin Kolbes face on it and it was nice but it was 20k.
they had an olive brand too which was nice but only 9k so i worry about the quality. it had 130kg weight limit per person and im under that, but i mean really. i guess you wanna be as close to under that as possible.

It’s supposed to be hard.

And you’ll adjust within a matter of days.

Okay so this is a lil embarrasing but, its got no springs yeah? How do you do the deed on it? Isn't it difficult without springs? I googled it and Reddit said foam only = hot and not as good for sex cuz no bounce. I am fat I need bounce and I sweat like a mofo.

Apparently the foam mattresses 'push' heat back into you but idk how true that is

Both my last two were spring/coils and they did fail yeah. It just kinda breaks one day when you sit on it and you just hear a sound that doesn't sound too good and some poor little spring just died for me.

Jesus Christ I didn’t know people needed specials mattresses to have sex these days.

If your pocket coil is bouncing then it’s broken.

Well one of the things I liked about this specific mattress I got is it has a high max weight limit, so will be durable when two bodies are lying in one spot. Never had any complaints with the missus. The bouncing is meant to come from you, not the mattress. A plus of a foam mattress is it’s also quiet, no squeaky squeaky.

Ahhh that is a good point, ok shot imma give this foam thing another try

Alright, continuing discussion.. within the cloud nine brand, which range should I be looking at in terms of longevity and quality..?

I am hefty at 125kg, so would prefer at least 145kg weight limit if not more, for those sexy times.. also something on the former side..

Anything https://cloudnine.co.za/beds/premium/ and above.

So, to confirm I only need to exclude strand mattress and principle, everything else is going to be okay..?
