Beijing 2008 Opening Ceremony

i must agree. I did like the smiley face fireworks, but it really was ground breaking to see!!!

Did anyone see our team? I was surprised to see everyone was so happy, and it was mainly white, I bet the gouvernment would change that soon

2008 people all drumming in time was probably one of the most impressive things I've ever seen. The lifting of the olympic rings in light was mind blowing (I still don't know how they did it). Using the entire city almost for the opening ceremony with fireworks all over the place was equally impressive and eye opening. I don't think I've ever seen a city use anything but the stadium for the opening ceremony.

From an architectural standpoint they used the design of the Birds Nest beautifully for the lighting..

All in all, I am blown away with that opening ceremony, it was absolutely incredible.

That opening ceremony was OUTSTANDING ! It has really raised the bar for future olympics.
 
Guys there's also a re-broadcast on Supersport 6 at 18:35 and again at 22:00
 
Oh my word... the ceremony is amazing! Those fireworks were coming from large parts of Beijing . Wow.

I was blown away but that ceremony. Its going to suck to be the country who has to host the next olympics.. not sure how easy that bar will be to beat.

lol, ye, I bet no ones gonna wanna host it (maybe america since they gonna want something bigger :D)

but how was that last part??? the one where the guy was running along the wall! I MEAN, WHO THINKS IF THIS STUFF???

London, and no, it will never be as good until another Asian country recieves it...

Asians are just always trying to be "the better" so one day, China's ceremony will get beat if they host again, or Japan or Korea goes up
 
amazing show - missed the 1st hour will catch it later tonight.

I wonder what we are going to do for 2010? :(
