This is now the second time MTN has charged me for data usage not exceeding my bundle, or the 20% of my bundle as stipulated in their Terms & Conditions.

Anyone else have this issue? In May 2009 I was charged R2.34 and now for January I was charged 7c. I'm on the Anytime 200 package...

What is also very annoying, speaking with MTNSP consultants about this, they noticeably become irritated with me today when I tabled this issue. Considering it is a fsckup on their side, I find their behavior quite insulting - where is customer service going in this country, and that from one of the biggest, profiteering companies in the country?

Send a PM to either Dr_Data or snakepit. They work for MTN, but aren't official MTN reps on these forums, so be nice. They should be able to help you out...
I've lodged a query already. My issue is more with this call centre staff not knowing their position in the food chain.

Yip the call center is useless, this is a well known fact. Trust me, just PM one of these guys, and they will be able to help you out. You're wasting your time and getting false hope that the call-center will be able to assist.

But if you really like dealing with frustration and incompetence, and still getting no results, then the call center is the way to go.

Hi, i'm also on a MTN Anytime package and since i've upgraded I always get some extra charges (PSD, sms, calls, roaming). AND I even carry airtime over from my bundle. I've got about 15 reference numbers. And best of all is I don't have itemised billing and have been trying for 3 months now to get it activated without any luck. Gone into a store but no luck there. I hope going the ICASA route will help. Sorry to complain, but maybe someone thinking of moving to MTN will read this and reconsider.

Dont even bother querying...I downloaded my call list from MTN active into Excel recalculated the cost and should have carry over free minutes but got nothing. WEnt to a MTN store and the response -" We can log a call but they generally dont come back to us with a response"-Regret going onto MTN.

Only thing MTN call centre knows for sure "Our systems are down - call in 24 hours"

Come on MTN give us a Rand for everytime we hear this-then I can retire at 30

Do you guys actually PAY good money for this type of "service"?
