Which online shop would you guys recommend as the best? The online shops I use doesn't always have the product I'm looking for:o. Please just don't tell me about "weird" shops like that Pico shop that blackmailed a few guys.

Isn't that question kind of linked to what you are looking for ?

Stay away from PCMALL. Refer to my post http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php?t=104772

I use a combination of different online shops to find the best price and product.
Johannesburg guys should try www.sybaritic.co.za and www.prophecy.co.za, their stock range is quite big, for smaller stock range but competitive prices try www.pcint.co.za

And if you can also keep an eye on the dealers section of systemshock forum, where some of the guys from www.landmarkpc.co.za (CT based) and www.digitalsonline.co.za (Midrand based) run specials on products from time to time.

For software, you really can't beat this shop... :p

But the most important thing is not how cheap the quote or vast line of product they stocked. It's when you have a problem with the product, and how's that online dealer's response towards warranty and RMA. Remember that when you pay the price, portion of the price includes the warranty cover and it's a service manufacturer/dealer need to honour (or at least assist in case of dealer) within a certain timeframe.

Stay very far away from Techdigital! Their customer service is non-existent!

I have bought from Kalahari, Take2, Sybartic, Have2Have, WantitAll and Prophecy and between all these I would have to pick Kalahari. Although not yet an online shop, Cyberdyne also seem to be a good choice.

If you stay away from Digitalgemorsvan'nplanet.co.za, you're safe I would say.

Another Thumbs-up for Sybaritic.co.za!

For the last few months I've been hunting for a special type of keyboard and eventually found it at a site called http://www.shopasave.net/ in Pretoria.
Although their delivery speed to Durban was a bit slow, the manner in which everything was handled was very professional.
You could even track your parcel to see where it was which too was very impressive.
I've also had good dealings with http://www.digitalplanet.co.za although some of their prices seems have gone somewhat overboard lately.

I also thought they were great - Beginning to slowly doubt that though

Oh, I forgot. This is normal for me! Call it my Super-Good Luck I tend to have :D

I think it has a lot to do with who attends to your online request at the time as many of these sites employ inexperienced people (similar to call centers).
Some people will go out of there way while others go by the book, others will send you stuff you did not ask for.
For instance last year sometime I wanted a new Nostromo N52 speedpad and Prophecy had one but they wanted 500 bucks for it ($35 in the US - R6.10/$ at the time) and their policy was take it or leave it.
I got one the same day at digitalplanet for R350 including deliver - that was 2pm and by 9 am the next day I received it.

Wow, that is odd.

Try pming someone on the forum if they have been ignoring you for so long. I have only received great service from them in the past.

No reply since then. I'm still blaming it on my luck, for now.
