Best Rechargeable batteries?

This may not go down too well with some, but for the best AA batteries go and buy the Apple batteries: I think it was x6 batteries and charger for R 350/ R399...they are Eneloops as far as i know, but more importantly they last
I have a fancy charger(Maha) showing condition of the batteries and these have lasted and kept their capacity...other NmH's I had to junk.

Why not just buy eneloops then...?
 
I struggled to find at the time, and it was not clear as which brands were / were not, one reputed eneloop were only fair in quality, Apple and (x4 Sony envelop??) batteries seem the best to me.
 
Maybe they import directly or don't actually have the stock they are listing?

I'll try and find the post but they're trying to pull a fast one by claiming some of their 1900ma batteries are 2100's. The best thing about these is they come pre-charged and they hold their charge when not in use.

+1 - most of mine are Hybrios and they do keep their charge. There are others that do this too - I recall Energiser do these days.

Was simply replying to the "can't get them in the country" part. Pricing is still steep so might as well import them from Ebay/Amazon.

Well I've been told as much by the Sanyo/Panasonic distributor in SA.

So you can't get them "officially" apparently they couldn't get any of big retailers to take them on because they were too premium priced.
