Let's just summarise:

This Magangat character boasts that he drives around (1) without number plates and (2) with his foglights permanently on. These are both traffic offences, as was pointed out earlier. He then goes further and says that he does this so that he can speed and have complete disregard for the law without any fear of being brought to book.

In other words, he is saying: **** the law and **** everybody else on the road, I'll take the identification markings off my car and then I'll break all the traffic laws whenever I please because they can't catch me. I'll blind people with my fog lights at every opportunity and I'll race around as fast as possible without any regard for the massive harm that I can potentially do to innocent road users by doing so. I'm above the law.

I think this pretty much sums up this man's attitude, right? And then you come and say that you condone all of this. My question to you is this: Why should the law only apply to some of us? Why should others be allowed to do whatever they want and placing law abiding road users in mortal danger by doing so? In my opinion this makes them no better that those ANC morons with their blue light X5 convoys that think they own the road. In fact, it makes them little more than common criminals.

The irony is that people like this Magangat character are probably the first ones to complain loudly about the rampant levels of crime in this country without failing to realise that they themselves are part of the problem in the first place.

thank you for judging my attitude.
firstly , i dont see how fog lights(placed on the bottom most bumper of my car)affects the driver in front of me or a driver approaching me ??
please explain

secondly , i have no number plates because at 1 point there were traffic cameras everywhere, even at 11pm at night , unmanned cameras taking photos , they charge you for speeding , even if its 105 in a 100 km zone , how much of that money is being put back into the traffic system and bettering the roads and fixing potholes etc ? hardly any of it.

thirdly , since the camera situation has stopped , i will put my plates on this weekend .

fourthly , the crime is bad in this country , you are spot on.

the law applies to all of us, i dont deny that .
but it is damn frustrating when police speak on cellphones while driving , drive around with no seat belts , park on pavements etc .

You are exactly what's wrong in this country. I bet you're one of those blokes that moan about crime often, and when people ask what do you do about it you say things like "It's not my job to do something about it". And that whole you do it because they do it argument befits a 4 year old. People like you make me ****ing .

You fail to see why because you've not bothered to educate yourself. It's like saying I fail to see why 1 + 1 = 2. Because I could not be bothered to listen in class.

None of this gives you any right to violate laws and make other drivers lives miserable by your actions. You're no better than the people you have a problem with.

So? If a sheep jumps off a cliff will you also do it? You could set a good example if you wanted and not be negative. Grow up man.

live your lives the way you want to , il do the same and deal with the situations i find myself in accordingly.

if i get stopped and fined for not having a number plate , il pay the fine
if i get stopped for having my fogs on , il pay the fine too.

And yet you won't just pay the fine for speeding, you'd rather drive without plates?

what do you do about crime besides moan ?

chances are much less of getting a speeding ticket , rather than getting stopped for not having number plates or having fog lights on.

and i do have a temporary permit or garage plate at any time which makes it perfectly legal ;)

Go read the traffic act. It's LEGAL (YES, LEGAL!!!) for the traffic officers and police to use cellphones while driving and to drive without seatbelts on as it is LEGAL for them to break the speed limit.

so its fine for them to be above the law ? ?
i dont think so .
im not sure about the cellphone whilst driving , but when it comes to speeding , they have to answer for the offences and they have to be rushing with sirens and lights on.
what about parking on a pavements ?

You know what decreases the chance of getting a speeding ticket by quite a lot?

Not speeding.

Point taken

sometimes its like 5km over the speed limit and its a R500 fine ?
and believe me im not 1 of those who need to be doing double the speed limit to be happy , its those "uncalled" for traffic fines that i keep getting .

I just got a fine for R300 doing 101 in 80 zone and another fine for R100 doing 95 in 80 zone. So how you get a R500 fine for driving 5km over limit amazes me ...

You are very clever indeed , should be a maths teacher ?
fines vary in provinces
the point was that for a small offence i got to keep paying
so i found a "loophole"
if you were any cleverer , you would have found the loophole too ...

It is amazing because it's probably not true (got any facts?). Down here you need to be doing more than 10kmph over the sign posted limit to even qualify for a fine. they do this to account for speedo error margins hopefully

A loophole thats quite questionable, if i were in any way involved with you i would make sure to cover all my corners so that you can't somehow do me in...

Do you have any conciense?
