Thanks Disiza, this is a great initiative. We will revert back on this thread as soon as possible whenever we see any questions.

We will keep you updated

Hi Livied666,

We do offer fibre to the home but only in select gated communities

We are growing this model and working on reducing pricing further, this is how our current pricing looks:

• 10Mbps - R1095
• 20Mbps - R1495
• 30Mbps - R1995
• 50Mbps - R2995
• 100Mbps - R5495

Mike

Do you have fibre to the home in Midstream Hill as of yet? And if so, what would the cost be of changing form the WIFI setup over to that?

Hello Bitco. Have to say I love your network. Best internet I've ever had.

Just a question though. Is there a way we can get throttle exemptions on certain downloads like game updates. Elder Scrolls Online just released a 13 gig patch and it just takes for ever to download at 200kbs

Download after hours, then it doesn't get throttled.

I have an electric gate....................

I'm sure I have a fibre cable in my street that was laid last year, but alas no gated communities nearby that I could even try to piggy back off

I am sure you do have Fibre down your road as a large part of Gauteng has fibre access.

The problem you have is the cost as fibre pricing is based on distance so would not be feasible at this stage unless an entire area is done and all fibre terminates to a central point close to your home

Then only a single back haul fibre is required to connect a large area.

Morning Mike/Garth,

I have sent a PM last week Thursday but not received any feedback yet. I suppose you might have 100's of PM's. Please can you just update me on the debit order that was submitted from the wrong account? I just don't want it to happen again as luckily that account had funds in it, just don't know about the next time though :p.

Hi Mike, no sweat.

I thought you might have 100's of PM's just didn't want to forget myself :o

Appreciate the assistance I know I could be slightly responsible with changing the banking details. And just wanted to make sure it's sorted. Don't want to get cut off for non payment. That will be a tragedy I just won't survive :D

Well as Bitco doesn't have wireless signal in my area, why don't you put a tower say on the top of my property, then you can pull a fibre point to your tower, then you can offer wireless to the area which should do well as there is no telkom due to cable theft, and as rental for your tower I get in exchange 100mb uncapped unshaped fibre - sounds like a good deal to me.

Is Bitco wireless a "contested" network? Meaning, the more people in your areal streaming the slower your speed will become? Much like 3G and LTE?
