I'm waiting for my installation phone call and I'm getting very worried after reading all the posts of people having problems and not getting support. Don't know what to do really. I don't really have a different option than BitCo.

What is that old saying "don't judge a book by its cover"

Advise........ use it, don't use it!

1. When the tech team arrives to do LOS make sure you are there with them.
2 Request the following
3 Signal Strength ....must be between -50dbm and -65dbm
4 Distance from base station tower.......the closer you are the less the chance of interference and effects of the Fresnel zone,if you are under 2.0km from the tower then there is a excellent chance that you will not have any **** with your link but every installation is unique! If they have congestion on the tower that you will be connecting to they will inform you.

If you are lucky enough to obtain the above, then it is a decision between yourself and Bitco.

Been a happy Bitco Customer for 3 months!

Hulu always buffered on my side. I stopped using it.
That is not network related it's Hulu's back end. I think it's been improved as of late as per bwana but I haven't tried it again.

I've been with them for a month give or take, and it's been good. I do however not play FPS online, I play Elder Scrolls Online and WoW on and off. Haven't had issues. Streaming is always good, even when I've been shaped streaming has been good at 1080p (10mb connection). I have nothing bad to say, however, I have noticed that when people have issues, they have a lot of issues (packet lost mostly) which makes the connection terrible, but when it's good, it's good. (Pitbull, disiza, me). Keep in mind that if your connection is not a quality connection and they can't help you to fix it, they'll offer an opt out of the contract, a bunch of people here who have had interference or likewise issues which could not be resolved have been offered a free opt-out and de-installation.

:'( Tech was at my place today. No signal can be found. And trees are blocking the only tower that give the best likelihood of a good signal. So what now? 3G is very expensive, although my telkom mobile does work excellent, and ADSL is out of question. No infrastructure available.

Hi All,

A quick update on the two points above in the thread:

1: Hulu Streaming, We have done an investigation into this and confirm Hulu forms part of online media streaming and is in the highest priority on the network, what we suspect here is that Hulu has a limited amount of international bandwidth coming from their core in Colorado, this would be based on the fact this service is only designed to be utilized in the USA

2: BF4, We have been testing this service with various residential customers and would like to thank everyone for the support so far. it seems this specific game is using unique and random ports each and every time a new session is started so it has been very difficult for us to prioritise these ports as they continuously change. We have made changes to our core network routing last night and will monitor the usage and feedback over the weekend.

We are confident we will resolve this issue and welcome the continued feedback and support from all our residential customers.

Much appreciated Mike.

This is the reason I love Bitco. Come hell or high water you guys are open to discussions and meeting client's needs as they arise. Same can't be said for other ISP's :) For this I'm very thankful.

Read back. No-Rules cut the trees down I think 300 meters from his own premises. He went, spoke to the owner and the owner said sure, you just do it yourself :D
There are pics on here somewhere.

Although I have cancelled my Bitco account, I would like an answer to a question I have posted more than once.

From your website
Excellent service: Our 24/7 help desk ensures swift and efficient response to any queries or problems.

Why do you advertise this when we all know you only support during business hours? Please answer me Bitco. This was one of the reasons I connected with you, but found out the harsh truth afterwards.

If I do not get an answer I will be lodging a complaint with asasa
