That was me.
Underwent angioplasty in Dec, BP started spiking again a month ago (pic) - back to hospital, now lined up for bypass.

Family history of rubbish hearts. My mother and her 3 siblings all had invasive cardiac procedures, all died of cardiac arrest down the line.
It is what it is.

Private hospital or public?
 
We had a very strange situation in the last two days. My Wifes meds ran out, at the beginning of the week, Dischem had no stocks, the doctor said missing one or two days is not a train smash so she never took hers for two days.

Miraculously for BOTH the days, her BP was spot in the middle of the normal range at 125/80 and 127/79.
Today, her BP is back in erratic behaviour mode, 135/69.

Makes one think!

When mine was that high, I went to doctor and showed him the machine and said, look at these readings.

He didn't even think twice and immediately registered me as a chronic patient with discovery. Which means free meds and 3 doc visits a year even on plans without a savings account.

So in summary, make that doctor appointment today still. You dont want to wait for the heart attack, which is the next step if you don't get medication and treatment.

Which meds? My cardiologist stopped my statins 2 years ago and now have blocked arteries...

Why would they stop them? I've had a cardiac event and have to take aspirin, bisoprolol and statins for life, and that's just for maintenance.
 
Statins are terrible. They **** with your quality of life so much.
