Hi guys,

I recently got a bluetooth mouse to use along with my MacBook Air, and whenever I connect it to my computer it lags - the mouse not the Mac. It will work fine for a couple of seconds and lag for a couple of seconds. It basically renders it useless.

I didn't get a Apple Magic mouse since I do some infrequent gaming. I have tested it on my Windows machine too and there it works fine.

Anyone have a proper solution? Seems to be a common issue according to a quick Google search.

Definitely something wrong with the mouse. Have you tried another one ? all mice will have a small period of lag when the connection is established. After that should be rock steady. Logitech mice work really well with macs.

It's not the mouse, it works 100% with my Windows laptop for long periods of time. Strangely this morning it seems to be working a lot better. Ever so often it just jumps a bit.

try disconnecting and reconnecting the mouse?

Strange that magic-prefs doesn't work, i have used it with a logitech mouse.

What version of bluetooth is the mouse?

I tried reconnecting many times :( If I remember the packaging correctly it was a Bluetooth v2.1 mouse.

Not sure what type of mouse that is, but I have been using a Microsoft Bluetooth mouse for two years and no issues on my MacAir.
