bonus any one ?

So if you get, say, 20k per month, your bonus is 240k before tax? :wtf:

Just wanna make sure we are all on the same page in terms of what Annual means.

Yep. Dependent on business units profits for the year and your+teams performance.

Know of 2 peeps that got shy of R90k but their areas performance was averaged so their performance was below average.

EDIT : Before people come and torch me. I'll confirm again with HR and post our convo.

Got 2k in 2012, 3k last year. After tax it was about 2 thirds every time.

However, this year we seem to be getting nothing.

I got R3.6k and then got about R6k less on my CTC salary :p

Hope that will be fixed soon though.

Actually the bonus from my last job was one of the reasons that motivated me to get out of there so early. It was already a pathetic amount, 7% or something, pro rated over 6 months of employment, paid in March not December (which made the holidays so much fun). Ended up around R3000 with a R700 monthly increase. And that was with an Exceeds Expectation on the quality of work on my performance review.

I saw the writing on the wall with that company and hit up Indeed every day till I picked up something else. I'm not sticking around where my income growth is barely going to match inflation.

LOL. Just got confirmation that we get another 2k bonus this time, but at least they adjust it so that we get out 2k AFTER tax.

Can't really say no to that. Still better than nothing.
