Borderless Internet feedback and general discussion.

Unotelly is quiet, as usual… getflix notified subscribers via twitter and their website.

I'm at home today so will give Playmo and Borderless a test later and see what works and what doesn't.

Best it to check reddit for updates:

Every new system we spin up for Netflix is detected within minutes. We think we know how they are doing it, but it will take a little while (24-48 hours) for us to get a working solution in place.
In the meantime we are down across the board for any geo-relocation on Netflix.
Sorry all, wish I had better news on this :(
We are working on it though, and we are quite clever :)
We also have access to networks and resources the other guys don't. So we should be back up very soon.

Delete this thread immediately! Before the Multi-Choice Nazis get wise to it.
Probably too late anyway

Lol

They properly already trying to work out a plan to have them shutdown..

Having done a bit of analysis how this stuff works in general, it's actually really easy for Netflix to identify and shut down

As the title says - CAN and USA are up for now. Our masterplan is coming together and we are confident it will be insanely robust against these whack-a-moles games.
We will do our best to get more regions up on a day by day basis right now, and we are about a week and a bit out from the masterplan rollout.
Stick with us guys because we are pretty ****ing sticky!

C'mon Netflix, bring on the global licensing agreement already.

Since yesterday getting most shows in Netflix (US) not playing with the "You're using a proxy blah blah blah" message.

Anyone else?

Nevermind, just saw a Tweet about 3m ago saying all Netflix regions are down and restoration will take 2 weeks !!!!!

I think I just about had enough of this back and forth.

I've spun up Sonarr, CouchPotato and nzbGet again. Back to usenet for me.

Arrrr!!

Anyone had any joy with borderless lately?

Seems netflix aren't ****ing around now.

Will just have to wait and see what they come up with:

We are working on a fully legal but very tricky way to keep our IP space "clean". However there are no guarantees and we can only do our best. There is no one at Netflix that has some magical knowledge the rest of us don't have, it is just a lot easier to protect one entry point from unwanted ingress than to hope for stealth with thousands of users using your servers as door knockers.

Netflix latest geo blocking push has had them block the complete IP space of nearly every data center / hosting provider on the Internet without exaggeration. They are blocking the IP space of backbone providers. They are doing things I never thought I would see them do.

So as I said, we will do our best and we have a plan that does not yet involve bribing netflix tech's to accidentally not see us. :P

We didn't develop borderless for netflix geo relocation at the end of the day, but it is what lots of our users want to access and we are keen to make our customers happy.
