I always thought Apple vets all the apps in the store to ensure a consistent user experience. If they don't well then they should because it ruins the user experience.
You can call me ignorant all you like but what I know is that not a day goes by without a reboot or crash or something that interrupts me while using the device. The other day I was doing something on the iPad. The next thing I am looking at an apple logo. Another crash. And you some how want to convince me that the OS doesn't have a problem. You must be joking or your love for Apple is causing you not to think rationally. You remind me of the "you are holding it wrong" fiasco. In this case it is "you are running the wrong app, stupid". Or in this case, "ignorant".
PS. Btw when Tapatalk crashed it was a simultaneous crash between two apps, Tapatalk and Safari. I had to restart both of them because I was copying and pasting between the two. If that is not a stability problem for you them you standards have to be really low.
Tapatalk is a terrible app. It has gone from bad to worse over the years. I have stopped using it altogether. I now use Safari to browse forums on iphone and ipad. I have no problems with Safari at all. I use it on iphone 4s with iOS7 and new ipad air with iOS7 and on my MacBook.
I have no problems with other iphone apps, some of which have for a few years since my iphone 3( mainly guitar tuning and chord apps etc., amp etc.). I don't play games on any of my iOS devices, so I cant comment on those. The developers of these apps seem to be able to maintain their apps on new iOS and OS X versions without too much trouble, compared to Tapatalk. So I think the problem is more the app developers than the OS developers.
These music apps is one of the main reasons I bought a MacBook(Garageband being free etc.). I find OS X and iOS support for music apps way better than Windows(desktop) and Android(mobile)
Im sure people will find fault with OS X and iOS in things they do, but then they should use the operating system which suits them for the tasks they need to do. OS X works better for me for Music. My main job is Oracle software, and in that area Windows is still the best platform for client and Unix for backend. To this end, I have a Windows PC(which I also play my games on) and a Solaris Unix box for database work. I used to use Linux, but it became such a mission to keep things up to date. I find Solaris Unix a breeze in comparison.
