Hi, do any of you have any experience with ordering laptops or pc hardware off amazon?

I haven't really read any horror stories so I just ordered my laptop on the 11th of jan. I filled in my ID number in my order, but I see now that there is a delay at customs in SA. It was scheduled to arrive on Friday so I guess it could still arrive on time. I just don't want to wait like another 2 weeks or have to pay some sort of hidden cost.

There will be no hidden costs if the product is sold by amazon, checkout would include customs costs.

Custom will probably inspect the package, should be cleared 2-3 days max.

Okay great. Dont understand why more people arent doing this? I saved close to 5k on the laptop i bought.

Amazon only supports products for first 30days, after this your problem to sort out the warranty. Sometimes if you ask nicely they will sort out a refund anyway.

Some laptops does carry international warranty, most does not.

If something does goes wrong, that when you might have a issue.

Did you get it? :)
I'm looking to order a R50k laptop going at almost half that on Amazon. Just SO worried something might go wrong.
