Buying an iPhone overseas

I'm currently in Amsterdam, and I'm looking to buy an iPhone 6 since my s4 is a bit worn out. I can save around R2000 if I buy it here instead of SA. So I was wondering what I should take into consideration. Will it work in SA, and will I have warranty issues? If I crack the screen will they fix it in SA?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Just make sure at the store that you specify that the phone is "open" to all networks and you'll be fine.

Just take note though that if u have any issues, Apple in SA won't repair the phone for you.

Other than that, you shouldn't have any issues.

Great thanks! But they will repair it if I pay the R2000 odd for a new screen? And if not, ifix will fix it for me?

Yeah iFix or any other repair shop will do it now problem for a self inflicted damage.

You can do a screen swop yourself as well. On a 5 and up its pretty easy.

What about battery swops on I-phones - are they equally easy to do?

Just take insurance on the phone under your normal all-risks insurance. They will cover issues.
