Buying hardware online

We are based in DBN now, and are one of SA's oldest online stores....

I am pretty sure there are some folks here that will vouch for us :)
Who are you? Im asking because i dont know.

I have had excellent service from http://www.wootware.co.za and http://www.evetech.co.za.

I would highly recommend LibertasPC as well. They are starting out and are on this forum. I recently bought most of my new rig from them and was astounded at how amazing the service was. This is their site: http://www.libertaspc.co.za/. Whenever I want something I just mail them though ([email protected]) as their product list is not that extensive on their site. I have almost always been offered a better price than anywhere else in the country.

Yeah LibertasPC is already helping me out! They contacted me with a really nice price list on both intel and AMD systems. Absolutely incredible service.

Nivo has provided me with the best service I have ever received online and they are fast. Plus their website is very good with all the products available on it not like other "online shops" whose service may be good but who don't actually have the products for sale online.

Stay away from WantItAll - they have provided me with the worst service I have ever received, period.

Yeah I actually buy from Nivo every now and then. They always help me out fast, and when I want something and it isn't in stock they find it for me. And their delivery system is solid.

How about us.....?
We are Mainly specialising in Notebooks but other requests are welcome!
We currently have HOT SPECIALS so don't miss out! PM me for a quote or visit our site!

Those are some pretty good laptop prices. I'll remember you guys if I ever want a laptop (which will happen in the near future)

wootware.co.za generally has the lowest prices and excellent service.

I always buy from take2.co.za Always get my stuff quite fast through CourierIT.

You know Libertas PC's has been contacting me frequently and just sending quotes my way, and when I ask for something they get back to me no matter how random the request is. I would really recommend them guys. They go beyond the extra mile, to a whole new level. So seriously go for them! Try them out, specially you guys in the western cape! But they do national.

Thank you for your vote of confidence LFX. As the old adage goes, we aim to please.

doobyscoo - Sorry if there was any delay in your past order/s. We've hired more staff and are doing our best to ensure we contact customers within 24 work hours if there are any issues stock availability.
We have also set up an sms system that automatically informs customers of the shipment details so you know how to track your order directly with the courier.

It's clear that the levels of service in South Africa are improving as there is so much competition in the market. With that in mind we're doing our best to ensure we stay ahead of the curve as much as possible.

Have a great long weekend everyone.

The Landmark Team

Now that sounds like progress, me being in the POS industry I know all too well about competition and keeping clients happy, recently our support department hired a lot of new personnel and it looks like life is improving. The nicest thing in South-Africa to me is seeing a company with potential work hard at bettering their service! Landmark you have my vote of confidence!

Just to add another to the list - Myself and a mate started Bios Online a year back, we operate from Durbs, but courier nationally at a flat rate. Getting all the products up onto the site is slow going, but if you have any special requests, just drop me a PM or a mail!

Sorry to bring up this old thread, but
I was just about to start a thread similar to this, asking about a specific store, I am curious about Libertas PC

I've searched the forums and not a lot is mentioned about them at all. :(

2 weeks or so ago I asked about motherboards and CPUs because I want to upgrade and Libertas PMs me and ask if i want i a quote, i say sure. I get the quote and the prices are awesome. So i ask him to send it to me again at the end of the month when i can purchase all the goods at once.

Now it's the end of the month and when i go to their site i get "504 Gateway Time-out". and 404 Not found on their t/c's page.

Anyone know anything about that?

So i refreshed now and it looks better:

"Server Upgrade
This site is currently under maintenance. We truly appreciate your patience, and assure you it shouldn't take too much longer."

Lol. Just caught them at a bad time i guess.

But still anyone done business with them? Never heard of them before the PMs.

Edit: I just saw Libertas PC's signature, it reads "Website currently still under construction (loading items) but don't hesitate with a PM ".
