Hi people,

So I want to know, which online shop is your favorite to buy from? I'm looking for a new reliable shop to browse. After using Sybaritic a couple of times and being disappointed every single time with very late deliveries and no reason for this I'm over them and want to start a new chapter (so to speak)

I do use nivo and take2, there's two shops that are superior in service and price.

The OP is all about how he wants to change from Sybaritic... seriously.

I got great service from Prophecy.

I've been using them for over 2 years. Read my post, I'm tired of them. Graeme has disappointed me too much.

Checking it out right now, thanks Nimz.

The other thing I was thinking about just now, seeing as I'm in PMB, does anyone know of some online shop based in Durban or somewhere in KZN?

@doobyscoo

How does prophecy handle deliveries?

They delivered to me in Richards Bay by 9:30 the next day, stuff was coming from Joburg, they use quality couriers. I also was able to change my order and they refunded the difference.
I have had issues with Take2 bringing my pre-order games 2 days late (a few times) and i had some issues with Landmark PC where I had to wait a few days for my stuff but I think that was a once off.

I am impressed with Rebeltech. They had the best prices and they were pretty quick when I bought my Sandbridge upgrade from them. You also don't need to worry about their honesty as I accidentally transferred a few extra thousand rand when doing the EFT (don't do EFTs when you're tired) and they refunded the excess as soon as the funds cleared.

Cool. We are based in Durban and also allow collections if you prefer to take that route

Rebeltech's pricing and communication has been good in my experience. I've used and been happy with Prophecy, Sybaritic, Nivo, Rebeltech and even IkonicIT (good prices, slow communication)

I almost tried IkonicIT, the prices are good, but they took forever to get back at me and after ordering something, a week later they replied with 'out of stock' so I won't be going to them until they change their communication.
What happened with Sybaritic a couple of times now is I'd order something I'd order something and they'd say they don't have stock and offer me another product, so knowing Graeme I go with his opinion and take it, then a week later they let me know the price went up. I pay the difference in and only get the product almost 2 weeks later on a next day overnight door to door delivery.

That's great news! I remember checking out your site a long time ago but forgot about it. I'll go look at it right now!

I buy a lot from Take2 but I've recently made a few order from IkonicIT. Their prices, for hardware, is very good. And my orders were delivered well before the indicated delivery times.
