Bye Bye Afrihost, hello Webafrica

Why is WA asking for CC details on the test free account? I don't like that. Mean they have access to debit my account at random. When the 1 gig is finished does the account then cancel itself or is there some kind of payment that goes of for a per gig that u use after the free gig.?

So people don't spam sign up for hundreds of accounts.

They won't charge you.

It's capped, resets on the first day of the month and no once you use the cap it's capped. No out of bundle.

Because if they d9nt ask for CC details people will abuse the system with free yahoo and gmail addresses.

they definitely don't charge you...back (about 2 months ago) when I was still struggling with AH, I got myself a WA test account and actually forgot to switch my ISP details in my router later that night after some gaming/streaming, and I got cut off when the 1Gb was finished

So why cant they just allow one account per landline no, why do they need CC details?

I must say, my 1GB free Web Africa account has always performed brilliantly whenever I've needed it. My concern with leaving Afrihost Business Uncapped for Web Africa's equivalent is that WA will be less tolerant of high usage. My household's usage is typically between 450 and 550GB a month.

Having to bear all of this in mind is rather off-putting:

I wish WA clearly stated what you have to do to be moved down a category.

I can say this thoh: I'm really gatvol of people that go for the c...t most entry level package and then moan about speed etc. By this time we ALL know that with the massive user expansion of internet users in SA, there are limitations and you should spend more money to get the speed and performance you desire.
My negative impression comes from that after taking the time to explain my needs to their "win me back" (I was willing to go to higher tiers) rather than recommending a product which satisfies my requirements and explaining the costs/limits I was simply given a link to their products page. Not really a "win me back" response...

On the YouTube side their 2mbit account*could only*do 240p. My old 1mbit could do 360p. My current afrihost 2mbit can do 480p(this is with their broken network).

Hi Vio,

Really sorry for the extremely slow response, please PM me your account details so I can look into this.
