Unless I'm the one carrying it out, I don't necessarily trust the (final) outcome.Just tell them to cancel on the last day of the month, if you have paid for the full month then they would have no reason to cut off your services before then, or else they would owe you money for the remaining days.
Still some things to consider before I decide on cancelling satellite with them ; overriding it all is the convenience factor, for 3 in the household - 2 of them beyond "elderly".
