Cannot connect to Afrihost

Everybody lost GB's.

I agree but if they cannot deliver the service then they should allow customers to carry over their allowance and not be penalised due to their equipment/network faults.

I am keen to see what their directors come back with...

Drop the afriteam a pm.

I emailed customer support and their reply was

Thank you for your valued email.

Unfortunately we cannot credit you for the data which was lost due to our servers were down for a couple of hours.
We are really sorry about this, for more information on this please refer to our terms and conditions

So no luck....not even a gig or 2 free ;)

Maybe I can use the money I spend on my 4 products to get myself uncapped adsl.

Just checked my data allocation and there is an extra 4 gigs allocated -- a separate green bar of data on the afrihost app. But no news whether this is actually "compensation" for gigs lost.

I lost about 1.4GB if I remember correctly. Also, I managed to reconnect before twelve, and that session totaled something between 300-400 MB. For some reason, this amount of data were deducted from my data for May, even though all that data had been used before 12h. So because the session ended in May, it counts towards my cap for May.

So are their problems fixed? Speeds are very inconsistent for me. Most of the time I get pings of 2000ms and download speeds of 0.2Mb/s on a 2Mb line.

After chasing up with Afrihost they extended the time on my data usage so managed to use it up ... So from my side very happy with them and their service !
