I must be completely missing why this is a xD rather than a xxD![]()
It's a higher spec camera. What I don't get is, why 7? What's the significance of the number 7? I kinda expected something like this to pay homage to the EOS 3 and be called EOS 3D. Was there ever a EOS 7 film body?
What confuses me more is that speculation about the 7D has been rife for a good three years now. What made people expect it to be called 7D?
Pentax did the same thing. They had K10D, then K20D, then wham! K7D. Why? Again, the guys on the Pentax forums have been talking up a storm about this K7D beast for years now, and again, why 7?
Or is this maybe just a sign that the camera manufacturers are, in fact, paying attention to what the fans say?
