Cape Party Q&A

Ok, I see where your going with this, but Khutsong is not in the Cape, and I believe that over some time, people will learn that our movement is not racially motivated, as its not. Given SA's history, its understandable that ppl might think so, but sooner or later they will see that the CP is not about race.

A bit "ostrichy" for my taste ie: head in sand. I don't think its a matter of people might think so, he raised a very valid point especially about the border towns. Also what makes you think that SA will accept a split? Modern countries do still swallow others, Taiwan etc and I doubt you'll have a self-sustaining economy.

Just think of all the taxes saffers could charge for services, exports etc.

Anyone know if DJ's questions were ever answered? I might have missed it?

Sorry guy's I've not been at my computer in a while.

Lets continue the questions. Try to keep them straight foward as there are far too many to deal with if you all ask multi-barreled questions at once.

Thanks

Just a quick response @ Toxic bunny. You appear to confuse yourself with a statement I made earlier. The question (I feel i need to remind you was where are the boundaries of the independent state?) to which I answered "The Cape Republic of Good Hope...blah blah blah...". You appear to be using this as a way of continuing to undermine the idea of an independent cape. This is really not a valid point of discussion...you asked where this new republic would be and I gave you the answer.

You also continue to read my posts with one eye...I said in my post that the Cape was at its largest extent for a short period leading up to 1910. I propose that you read my posts and if you have trouble understanding them give us a call and I'll clarify it for you.

capeparty1 : To be honest, I'm reading your posts as they are written, I may have misinterpreted the ONE post, for which I did correct myself later on.

You have outlined the borders you want, which sometime soon I will go through and check the voting averages in said areas to see if my theory regarding the voting patterns of those municipalities is vaguely correct in terms of them being less inclined to vote for the ANC, and them being the more "affluent" municipalities in the region.

You continue to push what in my opinion is a divisive and stupid idea that ultimately WILL lead to violent uprisings because you lot seem to be unable to accept the fact that in a democracy your voice counts for as much as the other person on the other side of the country and that you don't get your way. Why not put your energy into making this country better rather than pushing an idea that will result in unnecessary heartache and death?

You also have yet answered any really pertinent questions about your forward plans. If you planning at this point in time stops at getting independence, then well your organisation is even more naive than I gave it credit for.

If you use words like Stupid, then your not really interested in asking.

Ahhh, see this is where we differ...

My opinion is that this whole thing is stupid.... Doesn't make me any less interested to know the rationale behind it.

But the fact that your response to my post focuses on that one word tells me more about the organisation than you could possibly imagine.

And forever they shall carry it because it will never happen....

Get used to the fact that you can't have your little enclave.

Edit: Btw, CI that sort of language/immaturity is only going to get this thread closed/deleted and any subsequent ones will probabl get the same treatment from the mods.
Correct.

I wonder why I am under the impression that mybb is a communications and technology forum. I must miss all the current affair and technology news articles mybb writes.

Okay - at the risk of being rude, etc etc.

MyBB is a site that hosts a number of forums (sic). Most of them are to do with some aspect of technology. Some, however, deal with other matters. This is the Current Affairs forum and it supposedly deals with news and stuff. And I have questioned whether this thread even belongs here.

Apologies for the pedantic pain.

I have a simple question. What will be the official language of your proposed state?

You're going to have to request that info via PM as this thread has been closed.

Considering recent trends in threads on this subject I wouldnt expect to see any more in the near future.

Cape Party website is WORKING

At last, it's working. Yes I know . . . not a realistic dream from the CP but still I think it would be nice though.

Answer to: Is the independence of the Cape really possible?
