Internet over the WUG would make the WUG totally illigal in the eyes of ICASA, so I would have to say no.

This is such a good example of the unfair and unfree market system we have in South Africa. One would think, given the level of underdevelopment that ICASA would be encouraging this kind of thing, but no, they are in the pockets of the big service providers and the Telkom monopoly.

Which is why I encourage you all to join ZA-FREE (currently on Facebook), to demand free access and free internet.

Just for those interested to see, thought I'd post pics of my new setup. Unfortunately moved houses and this was the only possible location.

Got quite tricky close to the end while trying to align as i had to hold the antenna in one hand and a cellphone in the other talking to the guy checking winbox... all this while trying not to fall.

Second time today I see this question.

You can play multiplayer games.
You can share files and media.
You can play with VOIP and video streaming.
You can setup a VPN between and your friend (that is also on the wug).
You can do anything you like aslong as you don't make money from it or degrade the service.

The other question I had today was "how do I get stuff from the wug?" I could only assume the person meant downloading content, and for that we use DC++ and torrents.

Also like warlock said come chat with us on irc.

After almost 4 weeks of ADSL issues and voice line issues I am ready to convert. I too am in Tableview and was told there is some one in big bay on the hill with an antenna. How do we contact these guys and do some tests.
