Driver Side door.

I can only open the door from outside by inserting and twisting the key.

I can't open from inside using the lock. It is stuck and doesn't move. If I press the remote it also doesn't move.

I can unlock the other doors by pressing the remote.

I can't lock them again by pressing the remote, have to manually lock the passenger side door and then all the doors (except the drivers) lock.

Where should I start trouble shooting or must I just buy a new actuator from Hyundai (R1200, actuator only)?

Can I do this myself?

Any advice appreciated.

Have someone use the key from outside and observe what moves from the inside, figure the problem out and fix it.

And yes you can do it yourself, you can also use the other door to figure out what's broken.

Check the gears on the actuater arent jammed... i read something like this.. once you re align the teeth it worked flawlessly ..

Apply power to it directly with a bit of wire from the battery, if it works look at fuses and then wiring, if it doesn't you need a new one.

 Already done that, see list in first post. So basically the lock is just stuck and can't be moved. The other doors seem to be fine.

Okay I will take the whole thing out over the weekend or later the week then.

Buy from Korean Motor Spares it'll be a lot cheaper

Will there be a difference in quality compared to Hyundai part? I don't mind spending the extra if it is a quality part.
They import directly for new and also have second hand option.
I've bought from them 3x and every time the part was +-70% of dealer and OEM.

RV, PM me your email address, I have some documents pulled from HME GDS that might help you

Where do I spray the Q20?
All moving parts, the entire thing.

If something didn't physically brake, cleaning it and some lube might just work. These things cease up and get stuck with dirt and dust builtup.

Ok, I will take everything out later the week when work is bit quieter and I have claimed the car (wife using it, eish) and check if it is just a simple fix before a spend more money (just got new tires)

I haven't had time to take the lock and actuator out yet as I don't have the right tools. Need a star shape screw driver, probably something like this:

I don't think it is a relay (thanks for the info @PhireSide ) because the other doors are fine. I can also hear something is trying to move inside the door (receiving signal) but the lock is just jammed and doesn't budge.

So now I need to find the right tools.
