Okay, so I'm nearing the last 10MB in my data Bundle, and now I need to order the next bundle before this one expires on me.
If I don't order the new data bundle within the last 10MB, the bundle will expire, and I will start paying the excessive out of bundle rates, which will eat up my remaining air-time credit on that sim card really fast.
And, to make matters worse, if I bugger up and am unable to re-bundle before my air-time is all used up, I have the choice of one of these:
- I have to drive some 70 kilometers (round drip) to find an internet cafe to use to log into Vodacom.co.za to purchase the next 2GB bundle using about R320 voda airtime that I can purchase from ABSA.co.za.
- I have to pre-load my prepaid sim NOW with surplus airtime from ABSA.co.za, and when I reach my last 10MB, hopefully, the hsdpa modem will receive a sms notification indicating that the data-bundle is all used up. I can then use the surplus airtime to log into vodacom.co.za to organise a new data bundle at maximum (out of bundle) data rates. But, I need the SMS notification for this to work, and I don't know if Voda does send an SMS on the last 10MB, or the expiration of the data bundle.
Is there perhaps another option I don't know about?
How do you catch the last 10MB window for the re-bundle?
The vodacom website is reporting that I have 311 MB's left.
I need to make a concrete plan to catch the last 10MB soon.
