Cell C 3G

I have been able to see 65502 in Cape Town for about 3 weeks already, unable to go on though
 
What a surprise! The network still isn't online... So what's the next promised date, September, October, 2020?
 
Just spoke to someone at cellC The will launch in PE then up from CapeTown towards JHB and PTA in the next few weeks. Cannot wait.

Like I thought, first it was 2007, then not at all, then July, then August 1st, then August 15th (in Cape Town) and now its back to within the next few weeks. Over it
 
It will happen, Cell C aren't bluffing. They've built the network, but it will take time. I am also getting irritated with this waiting.
 
Ok, so I left a message on that "tell trevor" or whatever website - all I posted was "Make 3G Affordable."
that was all I posted.....



Now - a few mins ago a very smart sounding lady phones me, lol...
cool - she's no idiot like most other call centres have - i'll listen......


Get this - She tells me about their 3G Offers coming up - R999 once-off and you get a Modem, and 5 GIGS per month, every month, for 12 Months

The rumors were TRUE! :)

This offer will be available soon, they are just waiting for the batch of Dongles, and will be rolling out their brand new Data network City by City
 
thats cheap ,where do i sign up :P

the R999 i hear is 7.2mps only though but what if you but it into 21mps modem, maybe you get the speeds also :P

on the tech new section says R999 is 2gb a month? hope it is 5gig a month for 1k

Yeah, I read that, so many different views, I will certainly sign up if it does turn out that way, and really hope it does, but realistically I doubt it...
 
I also feel doubtful that these rumours are true, but if by some small chance they are Cell C will gain me as a broadband customer guaranteed. In theory we'll find out if it's true on Friday, but then Cell C have a gained a reputation as procrastinators.
