Cell C can't receive calls

Yes, but went out off area today and about 15km away it worked. Could make and receive calls, meaning its the towers here. Never had such issues with signal. But still dont understand mobile data works 100%. Got back this afternoon same story cannot make or receive calls. But 15km away it works.

Same with me. Also sporadically getting emergency calls only then unable to receive calls or SMSes.

If I travel a distance then it would resolve itself quicker, else it would persist until I restart the phone or activate/deactivate airplane mode. It seems to be a real issue when we have loadshedding.

BTW, for me, I think the issue is self inflicted as I choose to roam on MTN. When automatic network discovery is on, the issue is resolved.

I agree but never been for this long. 4 days straight. The longest was 3 hours. All those steps i usually follow and then its fixed but not 4 days straight and continuesly. I have noticed we run on Vodacom towers here as when they go i go off. Home connecta seems to run on mtn towers. I suspect cell c prepaid is also mtn towers. Cause on the odd occassion Cell C contract was off, vodacom customers was off but Homeconnecta and prepaid cell c worked.

Hi. A few months ago. Maybe two ish? It's not a big issue for me as I'm not important enough to get important phone calls. Again, I can resolve it by not choosing to roam on MTN.

I can't make or receive calls or even use the USSD to check balance or purchase data. Please help
 
Does anyone know what is happening with Cell C? I can't make calls send SMS or even get WhatsApp to work on it.

I send all the details via Fb and they said they will look into it.
