Cell-C / IS "fixed" LTE

Can’t stream after 7pm. Everyday after 7pm I just change the sim to MTN. That’s my solution for now
 
My cellc lte (via axxess) in pretoria still works 100%. Streaming any time of day. Sometimes even 3 netflix streams simultaneously. Online gaming ping ~40ms (with little other traffic).
 
Hi guys, has anyone been having issues gaining signal on the Cell C network since the start of this month?

I've already contacted Cell C (Axxess) directly and let them know. My issue is that on their website it continues to show that things are 100% up and running.

All my APN settings are correct as I've been using them for the past 5+ months :p

Edit: I'm in Cape Town, Southern Suburbs.

I did order a sim only deal from MWEB. I do have a router B315s from Telkom and 618s-22d.
Question MWEB say's LTE and now i read you guys talk about "Fixed LTE". looking at Cell-C coverage i don't have "Fixed LTE" cover, cover is available but not around me. But only LTE and LTE-A available.

Looking at MWEB coverage page: I only see LTE.

Which is the correct answer LTE or LTE Fixed. From MWEB pic Cell-C LTE coverage no "Fixed"

My experience of this "coverage map" is mixed at best. Ironically my connection was about 9mb/s when I was not in the fixed LTE zone. When I moved places to a zone in the fixed LTE zone it dropped to a soul destroying 1mb/s. My friend lives in the same area and his is just as disgraceful.

Follow Mweb's Coverage page ,When I ordered, Cell C's page said I didn't have coverage while Mweb said I did.

I did cancel mine went over to Cell C but having problems with signal. I bought LTE-A

I received my Axxess LTE from CellC. First day I was amazed.

Speedtest
Down: 70Mbps
Upload at 60Mbps.
Ping at 32ms.


This afternoon its not the same. I get really bad speed. But at 100% signal.
Ping at 453ms
Down: 0.08
Up: 0.94

I am new to Cell C LTE. Is this normal?
My router shows 100% signal.
I can always upload a screenshot.

I am having the exact same issue! I have just given my notice.

Unfortunately it is a very real norm from the experiences I have had, friends have had and social media has had. I cancelled mine after a week. One theory I imagine is that it is a product that they have sold to get a quick cash injection. The prices are great but the product sucks. Big time. So after a couple months of your cash they don't mind that you leave hence the month to month terms

Good morning
I did contact Axxess. They advised to change the APN and set to 4G only. I did that but no change.

This morning I checked and its fast again. I am happy.

I will check again this afternoon and see how it goes. So far, Cell C has been the fastest LTE provider. I get around 50% to 75% signal with Telkom and Rain. And then the speeds are around 20Mbps Down.

With Cell-C the speeds are above 50Mbps Down with a ping of between 28-34 ms.

I don't know what happened yesterday afternoon.... Maybe they were busy with maintenance.
