Cell C slashes data bundle prices

Never knew so many peeps on this forum live in PE. ;)

Or do they not realise that Cell-C's "4G" network is only available in PE with Bloemfontein a potential possibility? Sometime in the future.

10gig accounts go for R200+- pm, which is R2400 per year. So for R400 more per year (with IS etc), you get TWICE as much gigs.

Seems myadsl has become the marketing mouthpiece for the telco companies, feeding us all their BS.

Ja, I think everyone else basically covered your BS already...

I understand that the 21mb was launched in PE but what about the rest of the country. What are their gprs speeds like atm, seeing from what i understand that they dont have 3g/4g anywhere else. I like the prices alot but i need a bit of speed.

Hi Inferno

A few pricing comparisons are on the way, showing that Cell C's pricing sets a new level in the local broadband market. You can not compare ADSL ISP accounts alone with these offers, you have to add line rental (forced monthly fee of R133.30) and DSL access (ranging between R152 and R413 per month) to the cost. This changes the picture significantly.

If Vodacom, Mtn, Telkom, etc. rub their eyes for too long, they might not be able to open them. :D Who knows, does CellC have their own local network or are they piggy backing? I am not worried about international band anymore (with so many submarine cables looking for customers). Is the national loop I see as a weak link. The local loop should be ok too if cellc run their own network (towers).

LOL...

Seems like they don't know their maths.
R999 for 24GB = 4.16c per MB
R1999 for 60GB = 3.33c per MB
why do they say 5c on their website ???
Did they misplace their calculators ?

haha, now there's an example of a quality rant. If only more people would put so much time and effort into their trolling. :p

who cares about in bundle prices, what do you do after few days when you finnished the 2GB ?

out of bundle @ .39c = R390 per GB ??????

holy crap that is freaking expensive.

FAIL - i think ill pass on this offer.

atleast with MTN out of bundle = .23c ( which i think is already freaking over priced )

i was hoping for 5c top up per mb, but clearly they are even more greedy than the rest, cell c makes mtn look good in comparison.

Cell C's service is crap normally, can't imagine how bad it's going to be now :(

R2999 60gig package...gets you too 4.88c a MB
Round of to 5c a MB

Btw u need this modem...unless u have a 21mbps lying around?

You buy another 60GB @ 3.33c per MB;)

yes but you have to fork out R2K to get it and then you get it in 5GB bits and not all at once ....

and even if you do somehow rationalise doing it, when special is over what then ?

no thank you.

The solution to your problem is patience, im sure topup pricing will get released at some point. This is day 1 of the soft launch.
