Cell C slashes data bundle prices

Prepaid reduces risk of massive OOB bills.

I'd still like to know if these accounts have data rollover, if so for how long/how many GB?

You could give this kind of thing to someone as a present- never thought of that for internet before...

24GB, 60GB.... where? its in the title, nowhere else!....

It is atually the total data for 12 months.

12 X 2 = 24 GB-------R1499 with modem
12 X 5 = 60 GB ------R2999 with modem
12 X 2 = 24 GB-------R999 with out modem
12 X 5 = 60 GB ------R1999 with out modem

5gigs X 12 months = 60 gigs.
60 gigs = R1,999.

Its a once off. no monthly fees.

I still want to know what the topup rates will be. If I run out of my 2gig/5gig, how much will I have to fork out to topup?

With 21MB/s you can run through your 5gig very quickly. :D

10gig accounts go for R200+- pm, which is R2400 per year. So for R400 more per year (with IS etc), you get TWICE as much gigs.

Seems myadsl has become the marketing mouthpiece for the telco companies, feeding us all their BS.

What about the line rental(R133 per month) and adsl line cost?

the additional announcements make the deal awesome. The dongle deal had me worried that there sole target was pc users. The 999 no dongle deal is awesome for a smartphone.

Holy crap only 38c OOB?! WTF is Vodacom Smoking with their OOB Prices

To put this in perspective, CellC OUT of bundle prices are around the same price as Vodacom IN BUNDLE prices! WTF?

I also wonder if unused data will be carried over. If I'm buy 60Gig then surely that implies carry over for the total of the 12 months.

At what point did MyADSL become the marketing mouthpiece? They leaked out a flyer with details about CellC's new network weeks ago and was told specifically by CellC that it wasn't accurate (and it wasn't). Why would CellC / MyBB do that?

Anycase, ADSL and 3G can't be compared. And as kotesh said - did you calculate you line rental for 4/8/10 Mbps and your phone line in? And your equiptment cost if you go for the modem option?

Yeah, you will essentially be paying R83.25 for 2 gigs data for your smart phone a month. That coupled with the android wifi hotspot functionality and your looking at a winning combination for many.

This is a game changer.

I agree. This might finally bring CellC back into the game. Combined with their low Allweek 100 package, it could mean moving away from BlackBerry, getting the same amount of data and saving some cash!

@inferno:

4mbps ADSL line + compulsory phone line = R543
10Gig package = R200

Total cost = R743

Do ur research before bitching and moaning.

My thoughts exactly. It might even be worth going for the all week 100 and paying in R2000-R3000 for a quality android handset. The cheap gigs are a big deal.
