Cell C slashes data bundle prices

Another idea will be to use 4 cellphones or modems (I have 1 modem and 2 cells anyway). Then you just bond the lines by configuring windows to connect to the net using all 4 devices. The added bonus will be the extra speed (up and down). Even on a standard 7.2mbit link you'll end up with a very fast connection by anyone's standards! :D

Ermm.. no. That's called load balancing, across 4 different connections. It has it's own limitations. Bonding is very different, much better, and more expensive.

Bonding is only possible if you have a bonding device on either side of the connection - one at the client's premises, the other on the ISPs network. This aggregates all 4 connections, and gives the illusion of a single connection, although you have 4 individual connections. In any case, I've never heard of 3G/HSPA+ being bonded.

The FUP doesn't make sense on capped packages, or am I missing something? If you paid for the Gigs then using all of it in 1 day or over 30 days is up to you? Maybe they're planning uncapped as well.

This is where this product fails for me. On a capped package I have x amount of gigs per month to be used the way I want. With this FUP it seems Cell C's trying to impose a daily limit as well, so now I have to manage how much I use it per day else face any one of the following ..

In cases of high usage Cell C reserves the right to charge you for the extra usage, reduce the speed of your connection, suspend your service temporarily and/or possibly close your account.

Has anyone actually used this service & if so how’s the service, stability & speed?
