Hi,

I have searched and can not find a related topic.

This month on my phone bill I was charged R150 for going over my normal 10Gb allowance to a total of 21GB. ie 10GB over the limit x R15 per GB.

Has anyone else been charged?

Thanks.

I have heard of so many ppl who have exceeded their limits and never got charged.

For R154 extra I could have gotten Do2 and only paid R60 extra...

Heard about Telkom charging a lot lately. But for R60 bucks extra, just upgrade to Do2. For what you just paid you could have had 3mths worth of Do2

WTF!!! Please would someone explain this to me:
- I have 5Gb blended + 10Gb 'local' - right?
- If I download from my local server at IS, it gets counted as local AND added to blended
- So I hit my 5Gb blended cap early in month, even tho I may have used it locally, and my account is then useless
- Who gives a crap if I then have 10Gb local left over cos my adsl just became lame...

Is there some special way I'm supposed to be using local allowance? Am I being daft and misunderstanding this?

Welcome to the world of SA :p that is how it works unfortunately :/

5Gb would mean you get 30 GB local, but anyway yeah man it first uses your blended no matter where you go local/internationally... thats how it works and it sucks..

Well I'm anyway getting an Axxess local only voucher (5GB for R70) and loading it onto my router as a 2nd account. Then going to load routing rules for SAIX game servers - my biggest bandwidth hog. Problem solved of blending.
