I read a lot of incidents where Telkom would take data of your Mobile Data instead of taking Data of your Night Surfer Data and I can also now officially confirm that they are in fact doing this.
I have like 3 accounts with Telkom and my 1st account mysteriously used up all the data and had 10GB night time just sitting there that happened within the first 10 days of the month my second account, being school holidays kids do use the internet more, but as a household we make sure that we also use the data after Midnight at the same rate so we don't run into a problem of having no data and only midnight surfer data.
Second account we only started using a couple days ago, but with school holidays over it takes longer for the 10+10GB cap to be used up anyways bottom line I had like just over 9GB of midnight cap left so decided to download a 4.4Gb so I can start using up my midnight cap this downloaded started at 12h30 30 mins after midnight and ended sometime during the night when I woke up this morning I around 5 the download was done, However checking my data usage, I still have 9.6Gb midnight surfer left, and my normal data was at 6.2GB, which clearly indicates that Telkom did not use the correct data for the deductions.
The 3rd account I started downloading a 4GB file 30mins before Midnight and I had to restart this download after midnight because it stopped the 2nd and 3rd account run off different routers, anyways not sure what the hell happend there but seems from that 4Gb only 1 GB was used or deducted of the midnight cap and the rest was deducted form normal cap, so yeah I have such an amazing speed that i managed to download 3GB in 30mins speed record for Telkom at most what I could have downloaded within 30mins would be 1Gb if the connection stays at max.
So now I'm sitting here wondering how much data Telkom actually steals from users that never check there usage, unlike myself i basically have to log into Telkoms website to check my usage because well I have kids and they can go Rambo on data if you don't watch them.
Even worse is how in the world do you actually get something like this resolved within a month, because your data expires at the end of the month and gets reset logging a complain would mean someone have to go check your logs, logs which I think Telkom should actually allow there users to access on the go and not see only at the end of the month on there bill. Not to mention the massive risk you take complaining because oh my word this year alone Telkom screwed up my accounts so badly it's kinda scary, in fact i still have 2 unresolved cases mind you only 1, the 1st one they flippen tricked me into saying problem is resolved because they can\t resolved it and it will take them 3 months before they could attend to my problem that was like 6 or 8 months ago the problem of latency only got worse thus on my second complain they simply just never came back to me with an answer, did not even bother telling me we can't or won;t fix your problem live with it they just don't respond and hope that the query just vanishes, now with this type of service that yes you will be getting who on earth will wanna waste half their life trying to correct a problem in teh first place.
In short the answer to does Telkom steal you data, they in fact do I have solid proof unless their usage facility is broken and giving me wrong numbers they are stealing Data from users by allocating it to your daily limit instead of Midnight limit when you use the internet after midnight. So yeah not only do they do that or does that happend, but as everyone knows at the end of the month they take your remaining bandwith and simply wipe it bandwith that you have actually paid for, so yeah that they steal from everyone.
