Cheaper 3G Prices - Rep?

While that amount is an insignificant part of your colossal turnover each year.

But I think with quite a few of those on the way, they may feel it. I killed off my 2GB data about late September too.

Plus, tons are simply waiting for

A) their current data contracts to end
B) Cell C to actually launch

There fixed it for you ;)

Unfortunately, my contract is only ending June 2011. So its R450 a month for 2,3GB. Eish its hurting my pocket and Im too scared to even open youtube....cant wait to finish with VC

I currently have two data contracts with vodacom 2.3gig R449 p/m and 1 gig R285 p/m both ending Feb 2011 thats R734 for 3.3gig data. I am happy with vodacom 3G as its very reliable , i am also not keen on moving over to Cell C , But if Jan 2011 begin and you have not reduce prices in line with competitors than i will have to shift over. Night Owl is great for the moment maybe it could be offered between 10PM-6AM so that people actually get used out of it. I don't know what MTN is doing they seem to be the wolves in sheeps clothing.

Oddly enough, atm my CellC is more stable on the Vodacom Roaming network than Vodacom ever was. Still stuck on GPRS EDGE though unfortunately, but it's way better than what I had previously.

So far I've saved basically R400 in the last two months for going CellC and I'm getting twice as much too.

I've had fantastic reception and service from Vodacom for the last two years.

Don't want to leave, but when I started my contract, 2GB was ok, now it doesn't even last 15 days.....and I hate it to have to constantly login to Vodacom4Me to check if I still have enough bandwidth.

Farewell Vodacom 3G,

This is my first post using Cell C's "4Gs" network ;) ..... So far no problems, no disconnects and no timeouts .. (touch wood)

VodacomData thanks for all your help the past couple of years.

I guess this thread can now be closed? Pieter Uys made it quite clear that cheaper 3G is not on the cards...

Yeah I think we can close it, it's over. The mission has failed and talking to Vodacom is getting us nowhere.

We had a good run guys, we made it to almost 50 000 page views and got over 1000 replies.

Would it not be rude to deny other forumites a chance to say goodbye?

:p

You're correct, as always, but I suggest you close this thread and start a new one:
Bye-bye Vodacom :p; or
I'm off to Cheaper 3G Prices :D

I'm sure you will think of something appropriate.

I'm still staying (my contract only expires in May 2011), so I'll close the door on my way out. :)

Eish, why did you get a CONtract? Remember to switch the lights off on your way out, pls

Lights? what lights?
Those lights have popped over a year ago and Vodacom have refused to replace them for us.

I say we burn this place down, and make smoke signals - perhaps Vodacom will be able to see that from their offices, since they don't use the internet to see all these complaints.
Either that, or they just don't care and see mybb 3G users as no threat.

Remember Vodacom, WE are the ones our family and friends ask for advice when getting connected/switching ISPs - Remember that!
WE, IT Tech are the ones the boss refers to when signing Big deals with hundreds of users for their company.

Let's have a look at where this thread started.

it's R989 for 5GB...I mean seriously now, look at your pricing :eek

No price decrease on the cards at the moment but in the foreseeable future yes.

Thus:
450 days = a moment in Vodacom's vocabulary
The foreseeable future is longer than 450 days...
