A real lifesaver during lockdown has been Telkom's 10GB "On The Go" LTE data bundle for only R100. The restriction is that it's Telkom-only data, so you'll need a Telkom tower. But 1GB of data usually costs R100, so this is a tenth of that price ... seems to be the cheapest 10GB bundle in the country?

Where do you find that bundle? I can't seem to find it on the *180# menu.

Is this a product for contract subscribers only?
Guess so. I should have said this was on my LTE contract sim, with the bundle visible through the Telkom app.

Cell C has 50gb for R500

Edit: Valid for 6 months.
Well, that's the same price as this isn't it, only you're forced to buy five times as much data, for five times the price. I find that every day while working from home I'm using 2GB to 3GB of LTE data, so this is running into a little money :'(

been using this and have had no problems - https://www.axxess.co.za/mobile/telkom-fixed-lte

10GB @ R99 (Month-to-Month)
Hey that's good, you get bonus night-surfer data. That's silly for Telkom to allow a third-party to offer a better deal on their network than they do themselves. I wonder if there are limited speeds. On my Telkom LTE it seems unrestricted, so I'm seeing 60Mbps down.

i get around 40-80

i just wish i got MTN because my friend hit 202 Mbps down while he was visiting 0.o

Thats what i thought, but PE isnt covered for 5G
Must have been a fluke, or your friend got a whiff of a test 5G signal:
4G offers maximum real-world download speeds up to around 100Mbps, making it over 20 times faster than 3G. Theoretical maximum 4G speeds are significantly higher at 300Mbps, although such speeds are only achievable in controlled laboratory environments.

Afrihost offer 10GB topups for R70 on their Pure LTE packages. They also have a 25GB topup for R150. The cheapest 30+30GB Pure LTE package costs R199pm.

Indeed pity they only 4 devices to use it, signed for telkom via axxess instead.
