Chemotherapy

The first chemo treatment went very well, I was on the drip from 12:30 till 16:45.
I'm drinking a lot of water, eating little, feeling fine even perky lol, subtle pains in stomach area,
no nausea. I also get steroids (in the drip) and I also get a strong sleeping tablet for
the evening :)

Must depart in 30 minutes for next afternoon. 12:30 - 16:45
Kindle and ipod on charge :D

Glad to hear! :D

Best of luck for the remainder of the treatment!

Yay glad to hear it went so well :-)

Don't give up, because you will have those days where you not in the mood for it. Stay tough and positive

Never give up, fight your heart out.

Nice of you to drop by, hope you too are going strong :)

First weekend of chemo effects, when steroids are worn off:

Guys, I almost died this weekend lol seriousely, (Friday afternoon to Monday afternoon) at one point it felt as if I had large holes drilled throughout my body, it felt so real that I actually checked, but there was nothing :p

My muscles contracted, my legs were so stiff, I could not walk at times, my arms became bent and stiff with muscular pain and ache. I was very cold, then very hot - all weekend long dammit, and my copious sweat had a particular feverish/chemical aroma to it. I have a salty and metallic taste in my mouth, food does not taste tasty and I am not hungry or thirsty. I have been constipated for 9 days now. Blurry vision, fuddled mind, extreme irritability, and very bloated from the copious amounts of saline solution I get along with the chemo. My tongue is slightly swollen along with my face and whole body)

Fortunately I get steroids on Monday and today and tomorrow, then it's dry-out and wait for the weekend downturn again. so right now, feeling okay :D

It's got to be hardcore, to do its job!

You sound like you are dealing with it like a champion.

Best of luck for the duration.

Chemo effects sound terrible, hope weekend downturn is not so bad. Thinking of you. T.

Keep fighting Heksie!!!

You've made it this far through the treatment you'll make it through & be healthy beyond.

I was just wondering how things were going with you!

Good going, wrathex! It certainly sounds like you're kicking up a good fight! Just keep at it. We'll all be right here, cheering you on. :)

Go wrathex, go! My best pal's going through similar treatment with very similar symptoms to the ones you described (muscular pain and ache, constipation, irritability, etc) and I wish we could do more to alleviate his pain. Just keep being strong and looking ahead to the remission
