I’ve also had a rental for a month before from the big known brands taking their time to get stuff sorted.

The evidence is all sitting gathering dust at the panel beaters, just visit a panel beater and you will see chinese cars sitting there waiting for months while other brands are being actively worked on.

Yes an insurer will give you a rental for 30 days, that is the norm, but no ways are they going to give you a rental for longer than that.

My mechanic who also runs a panel shop as a secondary business had no such concern when I asked his opinion on buying the H6.

Being a Chinese car owner I would expect these issues to be reflected in the insurance premiums as well.

This may have been an issue at a point in time due to Covid or whatever but I now honestly think it’s nothing more than a perpetuated myth.

My directors son has an omoda beginning 2024? Got rear ended around June , they still waiting for parts to first the boot

I never said several months. My expectation is that at worst it would be a month to get sorted.

Car being drivable is still no excuse for things to take long, it is tacky driving around in a car that looks smashed up, not a good look at all.. These CCP brands claim to have warehouses full of stock but in reality they dont, its another marketing gimmick.

By the time it gets fixed there will be a whole lot more damage caused by the leak, and guess what. they will have to wait for more parts to fix that too.

Hasn’t been fixed yet (6 months +), no parts , hence leaking until parts arrive not a major leak, but still leaking
