She has an amazing voice. She's one of those people I basically fell in love with the first time I was exposed to them, hehe.

There is just something very sexy about tattooed female rockers with a killer voice!
Time to dig out some live albums!

I love to watch Lacey sing. She sometimes gets completely lost in a song.

Watch the hands :D

No one mentions Skunk Anansie? For shame! Guano Apes and Skunk Anansie are my two favourite bands. There's also a band called Kontrust from Austria that's okay and I think has good relations with Guano Apes... well, I find them a little grating in some ways, but they have potential.

There was Jack Off Jill. Ehhh... I like the Clear Hearts, Grey Flowers album. But they were real rough and fairly distasteful at times (who wouldn't be with Marilyn Manson as your mentor of sorts?). The singer formed another depressing band or duo called Scarling. I listen to it when I'm, well, depro.

On the other hand, we have Juliette Lewis (and the Licks) and her stuff was pretty upbeat and rocking until Terra Incognita where it seemed to be less upbeat and more serious. Some may like it, I certainly didn't.

My Ruin for a bit of industrial-rock. I know I've enjoyed it in the past, but don't have any right now.

Then there's our local lady, Inge Beckmann in BEAST. Also... I think you kind of love it or hate it. I find the sound of two bassists too mushy and Inge can sometimes be real irritating when she gets too waily and off-tune with her voice. She's capable of some magnificent singing, but she seems to choose to be arty and weird (ie: sound terrible) a fair amount of the time. There's potential there... if they'd stop with the two bass guitars, imo. You can download the album for free, too.

And the final one I can think of for now is Otep. Not to much rocking as screaming metal of doom. Not my cup of tea at all, but she does know how to get her growl and scream on.

What, no Distillers? Brody's voice makes me feel funny in my pants. Love it.

And just for some nostalgia, my favourite PJ Harvey song. (every time I hear a song from the crow 2 soundtrack I nostalgia bomb hard)

Can only put 1 vid per post, hence the double post.

Flyleaf now has a new vocalist. They just released a new single called Something Better featuring the new vocalist and Sonny Sandoval from P.O.D.
