converting Vista contacts back to XP

I was on vista for the last year, have switched back to XP now. Problem is that I now have all my contacts from vista in *.contact format. Is there a way to change it to ".vcf format?

I'm convinced that there has to be a way.

What application in Vista do you use to access the contacts?

From what i understand, he saved the files located under "windows contacts folder" on Vista instead of exporting it to csv within the mail client.....
now he is stuck with "*.contact" files in XP, after he formatted & reloaded XP.....I'll see what i digg up

if i'm not mistaken it's called "windows mail" in vista.
Possibly must be the upgrade from Express.
I hate vista!!!!
