I believe they have already been working on it for quite sometime but Vuma are being aholes.

Asking, because RocketNet, Afrihost, MWeb, etc. offering Gbps on Vuma (not that I would go with most of these ISPs).

Why would you want to saturate a Gigabit connection and keep is saturated?

You taking it a bit too literally. Look at it from a ROI perspective. Does not help if it averages at 25%, anyway was just a question for the op.

Just out of interest, what would you do with such a connection?

BIG family :crylaugh: Quite a few steam accounts, lots of streaming, etc. Currently at about 80Mbps and struggling to cope (have to throttle internally). Will probably survive (barely) with 200Mbps but would love a Gbps connection.

Lol true true, its a ***load of bandwidth and to keep it saturated wil be a interesting task.

Saturation is not the goal  Just want the peace of mind to know the capacity is there for the daily spikes in usage. My QoS rule list is getting out of hand.

We can offer a 1Gbps service on a couple of the networks, Vumatel for instance. Problem is to make it feasible. So the model we are working on is a 1Gbps local service with different levels of international access.

PBCool what's the status on the MTN routing via CPT job?

PBCool, my internet seems to be down. I got home this evening and it is down. I have reset my router, but it made no difference.

EDIT: I am on CISP/SADV

Sorry to hear that, have you logged it with support?

No, I'll log it now. Do your support guys work at this hour?

EDIT: Okay it is logged. Can anything be done about it now? I kinda need the internet to work tomorrow.

If it's a line fault there is nothing we can do beyond logging it with SADV.
