The monitor Home DVR is back UP (Port Is Listening) (It was down for 4 hours, 37 minutes and 26 seconds).

and we're back

Kudos to Cool Ideas. My line was released by my previous ISP on the 31st. Even though there have been problems with the the Open Serve portal and line registrations I'm happy to report that I'm up and running. Thank you PBCool and the Connect team for your help.

Who was your previous ISP?

My Openseve line is still MIA being transferred back to the holding pool from CW (31 May 2018) waiting on CISP to claim it. How long does these things normally take? Because when I asked CW about it they said 2 - 7 days from request. I thought this was "instant" if both ISPs knew about the migration.

I was also with CW. My line was released on the 31st. The plan was to be connected via CISP on the first. There is apparently a problem with the Open Serve portal for line registrations which leads to delays. I was luckily connected by the 2nd but Open Serve has informed ISP’s that due to the issues with their portal it can take 5-7 days.

Thanks. Just wondering if the sheriff is to pitch up with an unpaid invoice for the line :o

I've been getting really bad latency issues in the evening to late evening on openserve. Online games are unplayable during this time. I opened a ticket. I guess it's on openserve's side, anyone else have or had similar issues?

Do you know what time about? I'll have a look.

Hi.

My internet is down again - second week in a row.

This time I think the issue is different to last week. Last week, the Service and Broadband lights on the fibre box were off. This time they are on, but my router cannot connect.

Really getting frustrated.

EDIT: I have logged it.

Cool Ideas, I'm really not impressed with your service lately.

Last week I logged a ticket to investigate my line being down. Your team took a quick look, decided it worked fine, and did nothing further. I had to contact them again, whereupon I finally got a phone call. While talking to me, your agent said everything looked fine on his side, and then took a deeper look and realized it was in fact down. Why not do a proper check in the first place?

Then you escalated it to SADV. Fine. But then I had to take over management of that. I had to phone SADV myself when they didn't pitch. I had to phone and find out what was going on. I thought CISP would handle that, and do their utmost to ensure that SADV did their jobs. But you guys didn't - very handsoff when you learned you were not at fault there.

And now two weeks in a row, my fibre line is down.

Hi sorry to hear that, please give me your first ticket number?

Did you let us know when SADV didn't arrive the first time to escalate?

COOL-20180607-110125

Since you guys were not really following up, I thought it would be quicker if I handled it myself.

EDIT: I'll give you more detail, since you asked.

SADV phoned me last week Tuesday evening at 7PM and asked what time a technician could come out to inspect my fibre. I said that Wednesday I was going into the office but Thursday would suit me. We agreed on Thursday at 10AM.

Thursday 10AM, the technician arrives as promised. He has a quick look, decides my fibre is down, and logs a report. This SADV tech promises me that, because the call was logged before 2PM that day, it would be fixed on the same day.

Thursday comes and goes, with no further communication from SADV.

I email your CISP support on Friday the 1st of June at 8:54AM and express my unhappiness. No response.

I email again at 10:34AM. No response.

Finally I get calls from both SADV and CISP at roughly 12AM that day. SADV promises to come over at 2PM to fix it.

2:45 and no one has arrived, so I phone SADV myself (since it took you guys 3 hours to respond to an email) and they say that the SADV tech is simply running late.

Of course, the SADV tech himself tells me that he simply didn't know about the appointment for 2PM.
