57.024 TB would be nice to see. but gona be close to impossible on a 200mbps line. as that would mean you need to download at max line speed 24/7 for 30 days

PBCool I have found the problem with my twitch, and it is lying with my router. My router has a built in firewall, which I have activated, as it protects against ddos attacks. This firewall does not work well with twitch, and causes a slow down.

Thanks for assistance.

Cool, is that a USG?

Did you turn off you firewall, or set an exception for twitch?

I take it your are referring to the USG from UniFi Enterprise System?

At the moment I am running a Netgear N600 (dgnd3700) Router. It has a dual firewall with DDOS protection built in.

I had somebody set it up for me, so haven't messed around with the settings on it.

Ok cool, thanks for letting me know.

So switching from WebAfrica to CI was more than I'd hoped, luckily, the service given by CI has cemented my decision. Background - I cancelled with WA and gave them the required month's notice, only to find I cannot connect to a new package as they never actually disconnected me. I found out this information via CI, after Vuma went radio silence on me. WA finally responded and switched it off, only to tell me that they need an additional 24hours - which was inaccurate, the line "rental" I suppose, switches off at midnight - WA never knew this and never cancelled the line.

Between the three providers: CI, WA and Vuma - the most responsive and involved was by far CI. Thank you to PBCool for helping out where necessary, and please thank Keegan in your call center for promptly phoning back and trying various ways from his side to try and stop the WA line.

PBCool any chance you know what the most was a user has downloaded in a month so far on your network?

Firewalls generally don't do anything against DDoS as DDoS is more often than not volumetric in nature... unless your router is using some form of tunneling to hide your IP from online attackers which will cause higher latencies and lower bandwidth.

I'd just turn off manual port forwarding, enable UPnP, and hope NAT saves you from nasty things.

are you aware of the problem?

ticket logged : #COOL-20180704-120238
included my sys logs
No reports from the provider as yet but quite a few reports from Customers so obviously an area related issue.

Thanks we haven't received any notices or feedback around this as yet.

Apologies! I wasn't online Monday evening. Gamed last night and the connection was 100%! Latency sitting at a very stable 170ms. Thank you for your efforts and pushing Vumatel to stop behaving like a Telkom :)
