i'm unable to stream anything. its very erratic

Hi there, same issues here on my side with MFN for 3 weeks now in Kyalami area. Peak hours is gone to pieces. Quick Question, do you happen to use Netflix? are you seeing any issues there outside of peak hours?

Well that's interesting as we have been getting random reports from all over, I will do some further diagnosis on where the streams source from. I doubt it's all from a single cluster.

To add my 2c, I've been using 1.1.1.1 since it launched and DStv Now never buffers ever.

Thanks for this, as much as it's a workaround we need to get to the bottom of the poor akamai performance.

Brilliant, would be epic if CISP's Akamai can perform equal to the best clusters out there!

Although, it may help if there were an Akamai cluster in CPT for CISP.

Yeah we asked for one, and akamai has changed their design to a single large cluster that we need to backhaul for.

Peak is a nightmare.
DSTV is unwatchable via streaming.
i'm seeing my speeds bounce all over the show.
Downloads are also erratic.

i have netflix and showmax.
so far we get the occasional pixilation that resolves fairly quickly.
certainly not ideal though

Yip, same issues with DSTV. However for some weird reason with Netflix, some titles load and some just goes up to 75% and stops with an error. This is outside of the peak hours, just trying to establish if it's just me.

actually come to think of it.
we have some titles that just flat out wont load at all. handmaids tale season 2.
can you try load that up and see if you have the same fault?

I just checked now at home and the Explora is connecting to 2 IP addresses when downloading;

160.119.80.20 and 197.80.203.24

If I change DNS IP to 1.1.1.1 it connects to the same IP addresses

i for one dont seem to have any issues with DSTV not sure if its just heavy congestion at your location or area ?

I tested over wireless. I know that it’s not foolproof, but I usually get great speed results anyway. Over the last 2 months the average is actually closer to 98/98, so it seems too much of a coincidence that the issues were separate.

In any event, I game over Ethernet and that’s where I noted the biggest issues.

can you try load that up and see if you have the same fault?

Is that on ShowMax, can only see season 1 there. Netflix for example, Sherlock and Expanse don’t load, error 10008. But Extinction, Father of year all loads fine.

Well test with a cable and see what your result is, if it's still low we will need to log a fault with Vumatel.

Will try to later. Just did a wireless test and I got 103/97.6 with a 5ms ping. Not sure I’ll have time to game for the next few days, but it seems that the problem was resolved
