I just wish that either MFN or so could let people know whats going on. I often need to check all the different ISP sites to see if there is a outage or problem. Like ie TT connect they forever broken on the afrihost site.

I just wish that either MFN or so could let people know whats going on. I often need to check all the different ISP sites to see if there is a outage or problem. Like ie TT connect they forever broken on the afrihost site.
I'm also still having issues with watching twitch and with international throughput. 100/25 Octotel, Cape Town.
London throughput is still way down:

Yeah my mate on Vuma 200/200 in Dainfern cant go above 480p at the moment.
has TI broken CISP ?

I'm watching Shroud's stream on Twitch at the moment and it's stable...1080p60fps. I'm on a 50/5 connection, Vumatel trenched in Weltevredenpark.

In my Personal Experience, Twitch is a non issue.
I had TI stream open on Source. Bulldogs Stream open on Source and about 6 local guys open on Source and non of them buffer at all.
There are quick moments where a stream might buffer for a second or two but it's very few and far between.

My issue is that my international speed at peak times just dies, as you can see from my previous posts. Not being able to watch twitch is a byproduct of that. Whats weird about it is that my local speed is fine and so is my ping both locally and internationally. Its just my international throughput.

Here is what my usage looks like in the evenings on Average:

You can see, Just after 3 i started to open up my Streams.
One of them ended just after 5.
From there you can see a stable throughput till 8pm. (At this point most of my streams got a 2000 error which is normal)
At 9 I started to refresh the streams when i noticed the 2000 errors. Some of the streams i was Lurking in had ended so i closed them.
At 12 i closed everything down.
On the Right you can see this is the general Trend every week. Blue line is when i am Streaming TO twitch at 7500 Bitrate.
So no issues at all on my end with Twitch and International Speeds
[MENTION=8066]Tinuva[/MENTION] has a nice smokeping server setup (He is also on Vuma Trenched in Northern Suburbs in CPT) and looks like the link up to London has stable AF: https://netmon.heaven.za.net/smokeping/smokeping.cgi?target=CISP.CISP-London

Yeah I am surprised at the amount of posts lost.
New forum looks ok, but damn can't think who in their right mind decided its ok to lose so much data in a migration. Thankfully its only a forum and not something more important.

I think I made a mistake by signing up with Cool ideas on Monday 13/8.
My house already has an active CPE with Vumatel/Fibrehoods. So I did the online signup thingie, applied for VOIP at the same time, supplied my RICA docs, called your sales line and was told dont stress in two days your router will be delivered and you will be running. Its now day 5 and nothing, niks, nada.......
So after 5/6 phone calls (to some seriously arrogant women) I was told this afternoon come collect your router and just plug it in and its pre configured so we will be on the internet. Well that did not work!
So I logged a support call. 4 hours later I'm still waiting with no friggin internet! With such misarable service how do you keep on winning top Fibre ISP if you cant even sign a customer up?

Flip, I've had it.... Again ESO unplayable with severe ping spikes up to 1000ms. This is clearly congestion related and is every bladdy weekend and worse on Friday nights. Paul, I've logged tickets, I've sent you mails, nobody is responding can someone from Cool Ideas please help me?! What am I paying for?!
I just want to highlight that no ping spikes at all this morning and everything is smooth like butter from 5 AM. This definitely tells me that this is congestion related as it is always bad in the evenings and especially on Friday night. Please can this be sorted out? My ADSL was more stable than this

So last night I downloaded Speedify. Used the trial version and I had no spikes whatsoever nada Packet drops etc. Turn it off, bam, back to ping spikes and packet drops..
This kind off tells me the problem is not with the line....

I've used Mudfish which is a VPN for online gaming and it makes no difference. It is a very highly rated service. I believe that the ping spikes are due to pack loss internationally during peak times. All other times, no problems, evenings, public holidays and weekends generally really bad. For online gaming, a lag spike from 225ms to 700 or more is unplayable and it happens every 5 - 10 minutes at these times.
