Which CISP dns are you using as i believe they have got a few. With me usually the 1.1.1.1 would route me via FRA. tonight its stuck on getting the stream via RIo

Lastly i see they using Level 3 instead of HE.net was this a recent change or a improvement ?

I always had the opposite. Using CISP DNS would route me through FRA and Cloudflare would route me through RIO. I remember I used to alternate between the two to try and fix my twitch streaming issues.

I use the cape town CISP DNS server. I just set it to auto and let it do its thing.

If I recall correctly CISP switched to Cogent like beginning to halfway through the month? Something like that.

Seriously WTF!?

I’m trying to port my VOIP from CISP to Freshphone but in order for me to do so I first need to RICA. In order to RICA I need to submit the most recent invoice of my line provider showing the telephone numbers I want to port. Cool Ideas doesn’t show the telephone numbers on the invoice so how am I supposed to port. Now I’m locked in with CISP.

So pissed off.

Why are you porting your numbers?

Tonight for the first time in a long time twitch is lagging out every now and then on MFN Carlswald, even after using the proxy

The problem seems to lie when twitch gets the stream from Rio instead of FRA
Our SACS service has been disabled for quote some time because of the lack of control around asymmetric routing. It's only Twitch themselves that would change this kind of thing.

Entire day passed again without a reply from support, so earliest I can expect is a reply to yesterday evening's reply on Monday? This after waiting over 24 hours for a template reply that was not even a quality template reply?

Seriously considering moving providers end of next month and it's been like a month. Don't want to deal with a provider that has recent Afrihost level support, though they at least reply within 24 hours.

I mean I even had to open a ticket to get PPPoE details previously instead of getting it automatically when my line is active after like over an hour on the phone.

Really disappointed.
Sorry for the delay will look into this for you.

Why are you porting your numbers?

That’s not really the point. The point is that the process of porting should be simple. You don’t provide an invoice with telephone numbers which is required by RICA. So effectively you are locking me in.

It is just a question, we would never "lock" you into anything beyond your agreed terms. Have you requested this from our accounts department as yet?

No I haven’t, I expected it to reflect on the invoice naturally since it is a known RICA requirement. Perhaps we should take this to PM.

International ping is high again. Earlier tonight I was running at 145ms, but now it's 180+, every now and then over 200ms.

When is the eta on you getting control over this or is that sacs gone now ?

I think it is quite clearly written on there, "Internet Solutions" ie. GOOD LUCK , CROSS YOUR FINGERS AND PRAY!

Also its unclear but they are likely bundling the solution over portions of wifi, who really knows. Try them out and let us know. :p

Found this which I guess sum up the company in general : https://mybroadband.co.za/forum/threads/skyfi-fibre.922548/

WinMTR v0.92 GPL V2 by Appnor MSP - Fully Managed Hosting & Cloud Provider

Maybe they're changing something?

The higher ping started around 01:20 this morning. Must be a fault on one of the international links.
